Went here for a meal with my son and 2 daughters, food was delicious and hot. Served perfectly. We were given plenty time not rushed out the door. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend

Waited an hour and 25 minutes between starter ( which they got wrong) and main course...which was tasty hence the 2 stars.\\nAt one point asked a member of staff where our food was....he said he would go and check and get back to me...which he never did\\nEventually said if food isn't on the table in 5 mins, we're leaving and expect a full refund.\\nCan understand staff shortages due to current situation...but at least inform people there's gonna be a wait....or stop taking so many bookings.\\nDoubtful we will return .

Ok for a lunch but wouldn't go for dinner. Steak was fatty and not cooked as requested. Fajitas OK but a bit dry. Overall a bit disappointing.

Good family party pub. Excellent pricing and portion sizes. Recently upgraded from former Outside Inn format. Still room for improvement. Recent rugby crowd arguing and fighting in the bar area spoilt it for our 10 strong Birthday Party. But I can't blame the Bruce.

I have food allergies and the staff took it very seriously (this is unusual). The member of staff that served me double checked my allergies and offered help with the menu. He also made the plate separately from other orders.\\nFirst time in a long time I was able to eat comfortably.\\nPlus the fry up was amazing

We had my mums 70th birthday dinner here today. Service was amazing!! Great friendly customer service. My mum is in a wheelchair and in our party of 13 had 3 toddlers and the staff couldn't do enough to help the day go well. Food was ordered, served in a good time, it was lovely and we weren't rushed to leave which made it very relaxing. Thank you The Bruce

Food is mediocre, to say the least. Service is reasonable though... the staff are friendly and helpful but the food lets the place down. I've never seen it busy... speaks for itself. Get a decent chef.

Was looking forward to going back but was left disappointed. Food coming out with sauces missing. Burger asked for plain and came with salad. No sauce sachets out and had to ask. The salt shakers it appeared the salt had been sitting In a warm environment and all congealed at the top of the lid, making it impossible to put salt on your meal. Ordered a dessert which was substituted, when mentioned the staff member advised that if we ordered at the bar we'd have been advised. We had used the app and one dessert was greyed out (cookie dough) but none of the other ones were. This was not major but just something else to add to being underwhelmed. Staff were friendly enough but sorry to say we won't be returning. Real shame as we used to like it, but it appears the issues the outside inn previously had are still present.\\n\\nEDIT\\n\\nIn response to the reply. I'm aware greyed out items are unavailable. We ordered a dessert that was available, we were then brought a vegan bar, if the item we ordered originally was greyed out, we couldn't have ordered it. That's the problem. It wasn't, we did order it, and it was substituted.\\n\\nI hope that clarifies my comment.

Wasn't very impressed as I have been previously. Had to collect own cutlery and condiments and wasn't a great range of food on the menu. Staff were friendly enough but definitely not up to previous standard

At one time this was a great family venue. Food, playground, service and fun themes. Now, the food is watery(cooked from frozen) , the play area often has teenagers in it harassing children and the service lacks as it is very short staffed.

Ordered their Chicken Fajita sizzling platter but no sizzle at all. When challenged the waiter muttered something about not safe to bring out with children in the restaurant! As it is promoted as a child friendly place with a childrens play area & special children's meals maybe they shouldn't offer sizzling platters. Situation slightly redeemed by young waitress called Jamey who was very apologetic & offered money off bill or free desserts. Opted for free desserts but wont be returning for a meal there in a hurry - feel sorry for Jamey having to work there. She deserves better

Two meals over three evenings as I stayed in premier inn next door. Firstly premier must be embarrassed by standards in this premises and having to guide their customers to this establishment as there is no where else readily available to eat if you don't have a car. The outside inn is badly managed staff are not trained and have no people skills. The food is very poor but cheap. I will not be back which is a shame for premier who on other hand could teach their neighbours some important lessons on looking after customers. Unhappy customer to the outside inn but a happy premier customer

Food was good. Lady behind bar very pleasant and professional. Guy with green earring needs some training in customer care. Not unpleasant but no interaction. He didn't ask us if we needed anything when delivering our meals. Surely standard to ask. Sauce, condiments etc. The major issues is it desperately needs a refurbishment. Burst cushions on sofa massive spillage stains on upholstery. Would come for quick meal but would never bring guests.
