The view from this place is brilliant, hidden away in a little valley up on a small hill. The food is not very varied and some items were not available but from the ones chosen, taste was quite good. Went for the cullen skunk soup and hunters chicken complimented by a tropical smoothie. Atmosphere was really great, sat outside due to us having a dog with brilliant views of nature. Recommend this along with a drive towards banchory for some thrilling views.Parking: Parking is fine, plenty of space either down or up the hill right next to the restaurant.

What an excellent eatery. I had their pizza, it was absolutely delicious. I would drive there just for more pizza, let alone the other food.Great place to chill, eat, ponder life.Go there.

Despite calling in advance to book two hours before, when we arrived we were informed there was a reduced menu - this absolutely should of been mentioned when I called. The reduced menu was a handwritten jotter page with around 8 very basic choices, jacket potato's, soup and sandwiches, fish and chips etc - but no prices. Two very uninspiring jacket potato's and a kids mac and cheese later, with a tea, lemonade and takeaway coffee came to £38! Staff seemed inexperienced and smoking/vaping in the car park outside the kitchen door both on arrival and leaving. Used to love coming here when the previous owners had it, it's a beautiful location, so but we won't be back.

A great hidden gem.The service provided was warm and friendly. The staff continuing to smile and take time to make every arrival welcome as well as accommodate those who did not book (we were culprits!). Despite the cold air outside there was a wonderful warmth inside. We had Cullen skink soup followed by haddock (smaller portions available for these with smaller appetites too).Excellent food and team work. A great day out for us all. Even managed to take home some bakes for family at home.

Though out of the way the restaurant provides an excellent varied menu. The service was very good and the staff pleasant and helpful. We all enjoyed the food , generous portions, well prepared and presented and value for money. Ample car parking and seating inside was well spaced. Out look onto the hillside quite scenic.

Catered very well for a big group with varied requirements (we did mention them when we phoned to book). Good fresh, hearty food and lovely views.
