We had a nice break with good food in your cafe. Thanks for your very good recommendation. We had an awesome time at Sterling Castle and at the William Wallace National Monument.

Situated less than 2 MINUTES from the M74 on the MAIN STREET that is ABBEYGREEN, it offers COFFEE, BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND CAKE for the more decering traveller who is looking for something a little more substantial than mere supermarket snacks. Located on the MAIN STREET that is ABBEYGREEN, you'll find a warm welcome and a variety of snacks and luchces that aim to keep you satisfied for the rest of your journey. Service is second to none, the welcome is always warm and the HOMEMADE CAKE is to die for. Child, baby and pooch friendly, you'll want for nothing at ABBEYGREEN CAFE. Cosy, comfortable seating and with a cute little SNUG for meetings means you can relax and enjoy your hot chocolte in peace a and tranquility - nothing is too much trouble for the delightful staff who are always eagre to help. My husband and I visited the Abbeygreen Cafe today for lunch enroute from Elgin to Warwickshire. It is ideally situated just off the M74 motorway. We had a warm welcome from the friendly staff and the food, drink and service were excellent. Prices were very reasonable . We would highly recommend. !

Cafe was great when first opened however multiple visits since have been very disappointing. Food has been basic, greasy and tasted shop bought. Cakes stale and inedible. The last time I had a chicken tikka sandwich and chicken rice soup - the ‘sandwich’ tasted like Tesco sandwich filler slapped between two pieces of bread and the soup had an oily residue floating on top. Thought a slice of Victoria sponge would rectify it but it was dry and tasted days old. Not at all what I would hope for from a local cafe claiming to sell home made produce.
