A quiet lunch midweek. A lovely menu, and nothing was too much for the staff.Loved the mushroom and truffle risotto, and the applewood smoked cheese souffle was to die for. This was not our first trip, and won't be out last.I am gluten free and the menu was clearly marked and staff knowledgeable x I'mDietary restrictions: Menu clearly marked for gf, vegetarian, vegan etc, and states where option can be available or adjusted.Staff member was very knowledgeable

Been a few times on last wee while and food has been fabulous.

We shared an evening here with 6 other friends. The place looked so cosy and inviting and our waitress was the sweetest of girls who took our jokey party well in her stride. My meal, the chicken supreme was to die for, and all our friends gave the same glowing report of their meal. We had to try the sweet menu too. Mine was the creme brulee.....oh wow!! Such a wonderful choice of starters, main and sweets. Thankyou for a wonderful night Sinclair's Kitchen......we will be back!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing place to spend Christmas

Very poor food and very poor value for money. Roast beef as tough as old boots and pasta stodgy and tasteless with sauce like glue. Awful.

Well worth a visit. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Service was fast and friendly. Good selection of wines and spirits behind the bar. Good quality, local items for sale in the wee shop too. Play park for kids outside. Lots if parking spaces too.

Sorry to say we had a truly awful meal here. I had pasta that looked like a child's portion, and was stodgy and tasteless. My partner needed a steak knife to cut the roast beef, which they described as the toughest they had ever tasted. Then the card payment machine was not working properly. It seemed like the inexperienced staff had been left to get on with things. Very, very poor value for money.

Worth the drive out, four of us went on a Thursday night as it was steak night , on our arrival we welcomed by young cheery waitresses, shown to our table where menus were already placed, drinks order quickly taken and food order also placed, Food was excellent and in particular the Apple strudel. The overwhelming success of the night was the service of the waiting staff, on the ball from arrival without being intrusive ( well done girls) service was faultless. We had Sunday lunch the week before and this too was excellent, a wee drive from Dundee but worth the effort.

Great find! Fabulous food, beautifully cooked and presented. Nice surroundings and service was friendly and efficient. They do special nights, like Sunday roasts or Thursday burgers etc. Extensive and varied menu with good choices for veggies too. Good bar choices. Playground outside for kids. Shop selling local specialities. Highly recommend a visit.

Been twice in 2023, had a great time on both occasions; food was great, drinks and staff super friendly. Setups great inside and out, hard to pull yourself away sitting in the sun having a beer after your lobster....Current favorite place in Forfar area, will be back soon for sure!

I ate here two nights in a row as I was conveniently staying at a campsite just behind. We were lucky to exploit Thursday Steak Night and Friday Burger Night offers. The beef/steak is locally sourced, ideal for a traveller who wants to eat local Angus beef. The portion sizes were epic! I've never seen onion rings so big & stacked upon the steak and burger. Quality of food was exceptional and prices were fair, especially if you go on an offer night. Staff were kind, friendly and informative. Attached to the restaurant is a small shop selling Scottish produce and you can buy soft/alcoholic drinks here to take back to camp if needed. I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

14 of us for lunch. Service was polite but slow waiting 45 minutes for lunch to be served. Lamb dish was undercooked and returned and although they advised it would be taken off the bill, they charged regardless. 10% service charge applied so tipping is not discretionary. Overall, a poor experience.
