We had the pleasure to visit from South Africa on 22 December 2023, and had a wonderful time, enjoying good food (steak pie is recommended), cold beers and welcoming Scottish hospitality. Also pet friendly.

Traditional dog friendly pub, water bowl and dog treats provided by the landlord and very well priced beer
Nigel Miller
Very much a local pub but it offers excellent value, good simple food and welcomes dogs. Very pleased we came off the A77 in search of something to eat.Parking: Car park to the side of the pub.

Well worth a visit to see a decent Scottish pub. When we no visited there was a core of locals at the bar and seated at the tables.A decent range of drinks, with one good real ale, a bit of a rarity in these parts. The landlord was a quintessential old school landlord. A little reticent at first but then very friendly and welcoming as soon as we got chatting. If you are used to flashy, busy modern city pubs then this is quite different and worth a visit.

We popped in here for a quick bite to eat and it was amazing. Both our meals were delicious. The staff were brilliant especially Loki, the pub's dog, who was a true delight and gentleman If in the area, I highly recommend this place.
