Went between Xmas and hogmanay where everywhere in montrose seened full. Was packed but got a seat and service was good. I do think £18/19 for a burger is expensive (had bbq one which could of done with more sauce) but food was OK. Chicken pasta was tasty also.

What a wonderful final lunch of 2023! The burgers were epic. There is also a fantastic selection of no-cal and low-cal drinks. They have separate menus for veggie, vegan and gluten free, which feels a very progressive idea. The folks serving are just so kind and friendly. They were lovely to our slightly sandy golden retriever (we booked the dog friendly zone in advance). This restaurant has a great vibe and we couldn't praise it more. We can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menu!

While Roo’s leap is a bit of a trek from Aberdeen it is definitely worth the trip! Focused on steaks and burgers the food was tasty and portions were perfect.Sourdough and Olives as a starter followed by Fillet, Bavette (not so well cooked) and Ribeye, all delicious and well seasoned but sadly not piping hot when served, plates were possibly cold too!Desert section caters to everyone and extensive beer, wine and spirit selection, all of which was fairly priced. Decor fits the theme and staff were busy and helpful.Dietary restrictions: Cater for Gluten Free diners with a separate menu

Really enjoyed visit.A meat heavy menu. Some of the best coleslaw I've ever had.Service really good, we were looked after.Maybe a tad expensive.

Very tasty food, with friendly service.I loved it. The food was a nice fusion of spices (not too hot), but kept the tastebuds tingling. All of the staff, quite young were incredibly friendly, professional and slick. A credit to the team.Good vegetarian options as well.I'd certainly return or recommend.

I always love discovering places like this, an Australian restaurant in the oddest of places - tucked away next to a golf course in a small town in Scotland.Walking in you’re greeted with these strange illuminated posters of what I assume are representations of Australia? One is just a picture of a big rock! That quirk aside, I ordered the buffalo wings and the cheeseburger, and both were fantastic. The buffalo wings were probably the best I’ve had on Scotland, and the service was top notch as well, will definitely be back!

What an amazing restaurant, design and decor spectacular great attention to detail. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive. Fabulous menu with a fantastic choice of foods for all tastes. From beginning to end the staff worked like a well-oiled machine, and drinks, and food were prompt with a smile. My wife had the 8-ounce fillet steak and I had a full rack of ribs. The food was excellent my hat goes off to the Chef, in my case the meat fell off the bone and the onion rings best I've ever had. My wife's steak was quality she devoured the lot.Roos Leap is highly recommended and I would happily drive the two and half hours to eat there again.Signed a very happy customer 10/10Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids in great atmosphere.

Came here as saw they had an extensive gluten free menu and wasn't disappointed! I had three course - chicken wings, chicken burger and then small sundae. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Only a couple of gripes - on the menu it says the burger comes with coleslaw but when it came, it didn't have any so I asked and the waitress said 'oh yeah, not anymore.' So I paid extra for coleslaw. This is disappointing and menus should be updated to reflect this. Same with my dessert, it said it would come with a cadburys flake, and again, no flake. The gluten free menu was great for starters and mains but the desserts are really lacking, I noticed Eton mess on the main dessert menu which wasn't on the GF menu which I thought was really strange as this is usually naturally gluten fre! Would definitely be back.

Lovely place to eat - we ate here twice. Staff very attentive. Large portions and well cooked food. Can get a little noisy at times. Always seemed busy.

We ate here for son’s 15th birthday! Each one of the four main courses we ordered was tasty, well presented with great portion sizes. We just about managed to leave room for dessert. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. We didn’t have to call her to ask for anything, she checked in regularly and made sure our water and drinks were always topped up. We were thrilled with the good food and service. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely meal on Saturday night. Steak was amazing. It is noisy but it's a big airy space so was fine. Anyone not familiar with the area it is a good hike from the town so leave plenty time if walking.

We visited on a Wednesday evening without a booking and got a table for two without a wait despite it being quite busy. Our first visit, we are not usually burger people (disappointed too often) but took the plunge. The Brisbane BBQ and the Blue Steel burgers were excellent, the latter came with fantastic gravy.Service was respectful and efficient with a smile. One or two groups were slightly boisterous, not rowdy but a bit loud, otherwise the atmosphere was very acceptable.Would certainly visit again. Thanks to go to the excellent staff.Dietary restrictions: We were asked outright about any dietary issues so I assume that had we had any they would have been accommodated.
