I have ordered from Dragon Way for nearly 20 years! I am really surprised with some of the reviews, as this Chinese restaurant deserves nothing less than 5 stars, especially as the food has always been delicious!

Been a great customer for over 3 years and always ask for mild as they are fully aware. This time around I decided to call as I wasn’t happy. & to be spoken to like rubbish is absolutely shocking,very unprofessional bare in mind I spend £40/£50 every time. The counter staff was talking bad about me while I was on the phone along with the owner. Very unprofessional. And very shocked at this also. Asked to change the meal but and asked ME TO COLLECT IT. Why would I collect it if it’s there mistake?! Not to mention time other dishes would come rice and chips etc would be freezing. Makes no sense!!! I’ve asked for refund and there food to be handed back & to be told no!!! Along with them speaking bad to me and while they thought I was on hold is VILE!!! I will be taking this further. And lost a very loyal customer

They got us again. We decided to return to them for home deliveries , and for a few weeks they were fine. Then last night we called for home delivery , to be told 30 -40 minutes timescale , and guess what , 1 and a half hour later , chap turned up , still expecting us to accept it . Sorry , but with such terrible service , won't be back , even to collect. Search goes on for a decent chinese takeaway in musselburgh.
I visited the Dragon Way in Newington last week with my young daughter for a takeaway. While I was waiting for my meal, I heard someone clearing their throat in the kitchen area (which I could see from where I was Waiting). I was absolutely shocked to see one of the cooks spitting flem INTO one of the woks he was using and then continuing to cook in it. He served the food into a dish and I saw it being sent to a table. I almost fainted. I wanted to tell the Police- DISGUSTING !!. I didn't want to create a fuss and my meal was already paid for so I took it when it was ready, left and promptly put it straight in the street bin outside. AVOID !!!!!!!!!! :( - unless you like eating somebody else's flem.

This is definitely a popular place in my family. Tonight we grabbed a quick takeaway after a very long day, Singapore rice noodles turned into chow mein somehow but other than that, everything was fine. A lot of places tend to produce meals that are very hard to distinguish from another restaurant, and Dragon Way falls into that category for me - however, they do it just fine. On the downside, options for vegetarians is pretty limited. However, the good folks at DW are also willing to change around an order to suit your tastes - so although my rice noodles turned into chow mein, it was chow mein sans meat and broccolli. That definitely gets a tick in my book.
