This is definitely the worst Chinese take away we have ever ordered from. We ordered chicken chow mein with no onions and got dry noodles with no sauce, no vegetables and dry brown textured chicken, if it was chicken, on top. We then ordered kung pao chicken with chicken fried rice both were absolutely disgusting and very salty. Never again!

Takeaway ordered via the app, simple to use and was ready within our walk from campsite to the shop. We Had the peking ribs, veg chow mien and fillet Steak Cantonese style. all was very tasty and healthy sized portions. Thank you Mr Tan’s

Not bad but not my favourite. Special fried rice was too wet and had soggy cabbage and other veg in there. I was expecting a normal dry rice with various meats and prawns only, as the menu didn't say otherwise. Prawns were a plus as they were big and plump. Fried rice element itself was not that tasty. Rice was not well seasoned and coated, tasted bland - none of the umami taste you get from a good friend rice. Had a salt and pepper munchie box too, this was good and met the brief.

Special Chow Mien was truly disgusting. Had an odd taste and watery consistency. I’ve tasted better super noodles. Salt and Chilli shredded chicken was not bad hence the 2 stars.

I just finished work tonight fancied spare ribs went to tai cottage but was closed went to Mr tans got home worst ribs I've ever had phoned to complain was told to take them back already fed to dog never again

Amazing food. Gutted we're not locals as we would order from here more often! Nothing could be faulted at all.
The worst meal I have ever eaten or at least binned. Aromatic Duck was sour and so dry it snapped. Everything else was tasteless and dry. Never again !!!!!! Complete waste of money !!!!!!

Food was excellent just wanted Mr Tan to be aware of the following. We ordered a take away to be delivered last Friday at 5.30pm (charge £3.50 delivery, I assume this is agreed with the taxi company) our post code is 3.7miles from Nairn high street same distance as Auldearn. Taxi driver phoned for directions and then said deliver would cost an additional £7, perhaps Mr Tan could clarify the delivery charges so customers will not face an expected delivery cost jumping from £3.50 to £10.50 unexpectedly

On holiday in the area and ordered delivery. Service good and arrived quickly, plus the food looked fresh and appetising. Sadly it all went downhill once we tasted it! Black bean beef was completely tasteless, chewy and no heat to it at all, same with the Szechuan chicken, hot and sour soup was ok, about the best thing we ordered but not enough to make up for the rest, onion rings soggy and greasy, noodles edible but underwhelming. Honestly it was the blandest food I have tasted in a long time, really disappointing and most of it went in the bin.

Ordered from here last week as just shifted to nairn and after a long day of moving furniture decided on a takeaway. We had mr tans years ago and it was the best Chinese takeaway about by far, unfortunately not anymore. The chicken balls had soggy batter and slimy chicken inside which had black bits, the chicken curry had chicken which appeared very under cooked, the rice was ok but couldn’t eat the main dishes which is a disappointment. Will not return here.
