Great place to eat, browse the shop and walk the grounds. The only gripe we had today was we ordered a beetroot burger and didn't want the chips so asked if we could have some salad instead. An extra £3! Anywhere else would just do the swap with no extra charge.

It's a wonderful place with a very special atmosphere. The service was quick and efficient. The shops sold a wide range of products and items. The large outdoor kids' play area was very well laid out. Our grandchildren loved playing there. However, they especially enjoyed the willow walks and fairy gardens. We will go back regularly, even though we live near Dalkeith. Fantastic ??

Really nice place to visit. We go regularly. The coffee and cakes are top class. Great staff, friendly atmosphere and dog-friendly which is a nice bonus.

Really disappointed with this place. Mediocre food but extortionate pricing. For example, they want £15 for tea and toast with fruit juice!! It's just not worth it.When I ordered a roll with sausage, it was stone cold when I bit into it. They reheated the same sausage and popped them back in a new roll. At least they were warm the second time I guess but I've never experienced it where they return the same bitten food reheated. Not the type of service you expect for those prices.I won't be back in a hurry after several disappointed experiences.
