Had a great stay in November last year, the hotel was brilliant, the breakfast was good for vegetarians, although the evening meal options weren’t great for veggies so we didn’t eat at the hotel in the evenings. It’s a relatively short walk into the town and there were a few options to eat out there.Stunning scenery and the spa facilities were great. The room was lovely with great sea viewsRooms: Luxury feel and well presentedNearby activities: Some lovely walks, bike hire from the hotel, beach walks, exploring north Berwick

Stunning location, cuisine, and highly attentive staff. I stayed in the seaside king suite and felt pampered from arrival to departure. Their attention to detail is unparalleled, even offering loaner bicycles to explore the area at your leisure.

Marine Hotel, North Berwick 03-02-2024We arrived by minibus from Edinburgh, four couples to watch the Scotland Wales match. The reception staff took time to check us in and explained the layout of the hotel. As not all of our rooms were ready we dropped our bags in a friends room, retrieved our swimming gear and headed for the spa area. The spa is well laid out and wasn’t too busy. The outdoor pool area is really impressive. The views out to the beach and beyond to the Forth are truly spectacular. We entered the changing rooms and exited towards reception to get our room keys. We were in 227 and although smaller room it was very clean and looked to have been refurbished recently. At the appropriate time we exited the room and headed to the Bass Rock Bar to meet our friends. After a few minutes someone came and took our orders. The waiter service was a little so but nothing to write home about. We exited the hotel and went on to the local bar we had identified which was also recommended by the reception staff. The next morning we went down for breakfast. There was a bountiful supply of continental items to choose from. I opted for the full Scottish Breakfast which I can say was the only disappointing part of my stay.We gathered ourselves and waited for Taxi transport home.+ The Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay again.- I have had a better cooked breakfast elsewhere. (P.s. check out my other photos.

Disappointing afternoon tea.If you like dry sandwiches, being presented with the wrong tea, cracked crockery, listening to staff gossip loudly and complain about their shift patterns while sat in a cold room with dirty windows and chipped paintwork as a maintenance man precariously climbs a ladder next to your table then this is the place for you. At over £65 for two people, what should have been a special occasion was overpriced and underwhelming. We won't be returning.

Hotel lovely, Staff excellent . Only two things could have been better. Food was cold on two occasions, This was quickly rectified. The only heating in the bathroom was the heated towel rail, and I did not find the bathroom warm enough to bath or shower. My daughter did find it warm enough to shower both days. Pool and gym were great. We would definitely love to stay again.

Room was lovely but it was so hot it was almost impossible to sleep had the fan on full all night with heating off and window open the whole hotel was uncomfortablely hot. The service was slow, the restaurant was disappointing the scallop starter in particular was a disgrace 3 small scallops for £16. Paid for room service at breakfast no cups for tea no water that we requested both arrived after we had eaten. This is our second visit and unfortunately will be our last the spa and rooms are lovely but for the price it's a shame the service isn't Upto standard.
