Wonderful venue. Cafe with great views. Bathrooms. Gift store. They are a Conservation centre looking after the water animals.Tickets to enter the educational section.

Great cafe. As a wheelchair user, push button door entry and the disables toilets are a must. However, the cafe is rather cramped to get around, so it's of awkward conversations to ask people to move. Please consider all users when you put out chairs, tables or high chairs

Over the years I've been numerous times. The staff have always been so lovely, friendly and efficient. Food has always been fresh and well presented too.The discovery Centre downstairs is fabulous for all ages. So informative and the staff down there too are so helpful and accommodating.

Absolutely love this place! First time visiting North Berwick and we happen to see that this place was open and decided to kill some time here. I recommend anybody to go here, we saw a lot of kids but if you like to learn about history, topography, geology, geography, and of course seabirds and local wildlife, you NEED to come here. Kevin was an absolute delight! Full of knowledge and seemed to truly love what he does and deeply cares about these animals. By far the most educational thing I've came across in Scotland. It seems any question we had, he had an answer and could give you the background information and details to that answer which makes it make even more sense. Fun fact: Did you know Puffins only have an orange beak when they mate, the rest of the time it's black so they are not easily detected!

Came to waste some time before heading to Tontallon Castle and I was blown away. The staff(specifically Kevin) is super knowledgeable about EVERYTHING. Not just seabirds but like everything. Had a great time. I’m only visiting from the US but I specifically want to come back to North Berwick with my children so they can have a great experience

Lovely place- Unfortunately the downstairs learning experience was closed off due to being flooded. Because im staying here untill Friday staffmember, Kevin was so kind to offer me a short “tour” on the viewing deck about the birds, islands and more details about the sea, animals and Scotland. It was really interesting and thanks to Kevin i learned alot about the environment over at North Berwick. Beautiful place, will visit again in the summer when they are doing Wildlife Boattrips!

Visited with a 5 year old who had a blast looking around the Discovery centre. Lots of information, lots of interactive displays, the 3D shark film was also excellent. Also great to see baby seals on the cameras. The best bit was the way the staff interacted with our daughter. Kevin and his colleagues really went out of their way to make children feel involved and the lego and Halloween trails were gladly welcomed, as were the stickers for completing them. You can easily spend a couple of hours in here and with the weather today that was definitely welcome. The centre is equally suited to adults visiting without childrenThe cafe offers a good selection of meals and is reasonably priced. There is a veranda for nicer days, but watching the waves from inside was the better option today. The shop stocks a good range of themed and local souvenirs, many from sustainable sources. This was the first time we have visited since the refit but we will be back again

Three Island Seabird Seafari - What a fantastic experience this is, highly recommend! The guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the RIB is actually quite comfortable. I do understand why the Seabird Centre have flagged up that it’s not suitable for people with back and neck issues, as you never know how choppy it might be out at sea. We’ve been twice now, the first time was on a calmer day so we opted not to wear the waterproofs…but by the time we got out to Bass Rock, safe to say I was drenched and very cold, so 100% recommended wearing the waterproofs - even if you think it’s a calm day, it might not be further out! ?

I had originally planned to visit the place in late December but switched my trip as I had heard that the gannets might still be there till the end of October. The gannets had other ideas so I didn't see any. I did, however, capture the sight of a seal in a video. On my way down to the Centre I asked a couple of locals for the name of an island / rock. I was told it was Craigleith. As this was the first time I had heard this name, I thought it was Craig Leith so continued this train of thought in our conversation. I even said that it looked as though Craig had been severely caught out by the recent flooding.Even before then I had asked if I could take a photo of a card in a shop so that I could email the image to a friend whose 70th birthday it was that day. I got the photo and sent the email. The Centre itself, though small, is packed with fascinating items. The highlight, amongst many, was sitting about 8 feet away from a screen to watch 3D videos. A lot of the fish ? only looked to be one foot in front of my face. A video of geese closely following a man on a glider also caught the eye. I hadn't seen that one, maybe, for decades. In the central area there were several tables and screens providing a lot of information. I particularly liked one game in which I was able to try and mimic a fulmar as it spat at all that came within its reach. At busier times of the year, I might not have had the time to spend there but I might have seen loads of gannets. Loads? Potentially 150,000.Best to check with the place as to whether you should buy tickets in advance. At quieter times it isn't but could well be in the summer months.A place that appeals to all ages.Oh, yes. North Berwick does have a "sweet spot".
