Went for Sunday afternoon and had a booking but even though it wasn't busy got a small table. Limited menu if you didn't want Sunday roast and no mention of any vegetarian roast until asked. It was something in pastry which I don't like and the other option I wanted, the fish was finished so ended up with risotto which was OK, a starter of humus was nice. We had a bottle of wine as well as drinks but they were out of the whisky my husband wanted. The service was OK until we tried to pay, a problem with their card machine meant our cards were declined but really we had been charged, 5 times. This was sorted out on Monday and Tuesday. It would have been good to have it sorted at the time. This used to be one of our favourite restaurants in Perth when visiting but I think after this experience it would not be my first choice.

Nice place but when ordering drinks three lots of wine were not available and some spirits not available either. Ordering food first choice not available. When food arrived was under whelmed. Steak sandwich alright, steak with massive pile of rocket, vegan feta ok but Mac and cheese with haddock not hot and lacked taste. They did reduce bill for cold Mac but wouldn't go again or recommend. Sorry.

This corporation is everything I dislike in dining. Been to 3 of their spots now. It is like when you find out your favorite chocolatier is owned by Nestle. Or your favorite local craft beer is by Budweiser. The three places Ive been to by this corporation are all just like A.I. versions of small and local. Looking for REAL? Looking for local? This isn't the place. Look into the faces of the employees. I see only disgust at the middle-managers (corporate stooge types) running these offshoots. HARD PASS on this resturant group. WHEREVER they are based. Criterion is real and local - if I may recommend a place.

Stopped in for a drink. Cool place, diners and drinkers, clever lighting, efficient and polite service. There was an accomplished pianist, playing "good tunes" - just one thing, he was too loud for the surroundings!

Disappointing! No Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, olives advertised as Gordal were obviously not and were served in a bowl without toothpicks. Bread had to be ordered separately. There was no green veg with the roast, we had to wait ages for a drinks top-up. The fruit 'crumble' was really fruit sprinkled with grilled dessicated coconut and the espresso coffee was luke warm. I know they were busy (it was Mother's Day) but there was not enough trained staff. We won't be back!

Place looks lovely but waited 20 minutes to get our drinks and then an hour later and our food still hadn’t arrived so we had to leave due to other commitments. I asked when the food would be ready 40 mins in and was told they had limited chefs. That should have been communicated at the start or it would’ve been prudent for someone to come over and advise us of this. We didn’t have to pay for drinks so that was something at least. I would recommend to communicate to your customers if there will be a delay instead of letting them wait for an hour.

We booked a table following a film screening. The ambience is nice; panelled walls, coffered ceiling etc. We already knew what we were going to order. It took a while for anyone to ask our drinks order, then we were asked 3 times in quick succession. I ordered the goat's cheese salad with chicken (£13.45). It was the tiniest portion I've ever seen for that price! Four slices of lettuce, 2 thin strips of pepper and 5 chunks of the driest chicken. Really disappointing. Husband's tenderstem was cold and his plate was pretty small too. Food took a while to arrive and in that time I watched a customer come in a wait by the door, the bartender/cocktail maker walked straight passed her without even acknowledging her, opened the door half way and then barged back passed her. She was waiting a good 5 minutes before anyone took her to a table. Thankfully it was 20% off, but even still was left very underwhelmed and will stick to North Port when we're in Perth.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly service and tasty, reasonable priced selection of food. And a discount if you are off to the Playhouse cinema.

We had our Christmas Day dinner here, and what an experience that was twenty five minutes wait before they came to take our order for our drinks, our Christmas dinner was inedible we complained about this and after a few chosen words they agreed to give us our money back three to five working days we would get our money bare in mind my partner and I paid £70 each for this meal every where was closed so we could even go any where else so we ended going back to premier inn for a few snacksWell after five days no money my partner even asked for a letter from them saying they would give us our money back and bothy agreed and couldn't apologized enoughSo waiting till end of January now and still no money with an e-mail promising they will give us our money back I advise people to give this place a miss when wanting something special for you Xmas dinner as they don't give no money back even when they've ruined our Christmas day lunch

Ate off the braw deal menu. Soup of the day was cauliflower, highly recommended. Chicken main was tremendous, with bacon, gravy, peas and potatoes. Sticky toffee pudding was outrageous. Service very good, ratings for this place are far too harsh, I had an excellent meal here with no complaints whatsoever and felt the value was
