It’s with a heavy heart I’m writing this as my rating of 2 stars doesn’t reflect the food. It was worthy of 5 stars We had an excellent meal tonight and the service was amazing I had a glass of wine that was priced at £13.20 on the menu but was charged 14.90 on the bill and when I enquired they told me the bill was correct… I know it’s a small amount but it’s the principle and they seemed so dismissive of my query that left me feeling very disappointed ☹️ My tip is always 10%

Our family party of 29 enjoyed a lunch for my parent’s diamond wedding anniversary at Cafe Tabou. Great food, great service and atmosphere.

We were gifted a voucher for Cafe Tabou at our recent wedding and used it for a decadent lunch today. The set menu is really good value and has a good choice of dishes on it. We opted for the three cheese and onion risotto and the medallions du boeuf, both of which were absolutely delicious - and huge portions. We actually couldn't finish our desserts but they were beautiful - raspberry mille feuile and crepé suzette. The restaurant is small and intimate with very discreet but friendly waiting staff. Just a couple of minor frustrations overall - the complimentary bread would have been nicer warmed and £3.40 for a small glass of fresh orange and lemonade is absolutely daylight robbery (I expected a pint at that price) but overall it was a truly lovely lunch.

This is a lovely little restaurant in the center of town. We had a nice dinner here and while the place was anything but full, service was rather slow. However, our dishes were lovely and we enjoyed them.

Turned up an spec and wasn't disappointed. Quality French cuisine at a very reasonable price. Really enjoyed it.

Excellent, as usual. We arrived for an early dinner slot and were warmly welcomed. The selection of food on offer would suit most tastes and, as always, was beautifully cooked and presented in generous portions. We have visited many times in the past and will continue to support this excellent restaurant as long as possible. Congratulations on your first anniversary in charge - Amadeusz and Wojciech. Hope to see you soon.

Visited here on the recommendation of a colleague. This is a traditional restaurant located in the centre of Perth. We had the three course set menu, finding the food to be excellent, washed down with a decent bottle of Pinot Noir. Looking forward to visiting again.

Wonderful French Restaurant. We didn't book and they managed to fit us in despite being very busy. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. The Dark Chocolate and Cherry Bread and Butter pudding deserves it's own TV show, absolutely amazing.

Excellent food and service as always here. Tried something different instead of our usual steak and it did not disappoint, fish of the day and the lamb. We both managed 3 courses and drinks, the bill was reasonable. Look forward to our next visit

Once again very good food at Cafe Tabou and excellent service. This was our first visit in the summer at a weekend and we saw the downside of to many tables in a small restaurant. Although we were OK, the tables next to the toilet entrance were awful for the diners and the people trying to use the facilities. Consideration needed for quality over quantity

Superb from beginning to end. Food was exceptional. Friendly helpful service. We were all delighted with our experience. Two had the tuna which was perfectly cooked. One had the croissant which was excellent. I had the prawns, cooked to perfection with a gorgeous salad. Three had crepes for dessert. I changed my mind to the white chocolate and blueberry cheesecake on the blackboard. Truly yummy. Can’t wait for a return visit.

Lots of good points with good variety of drinks and wine and menu choices. Monkfish good, mussels and fries and vegetarian bonbons all good for main courses and nice trio of ice creams (bourbon flavour excellent) and a fresh sorbet for desserts. My snails starter a bit over done and oily and croutons dry but the 2 other starters both fine. Was a hot early evening and seemed no real air conditioning and the water was not iced and so I was rather hot and sweaty. A couple of waiting staff great and a couple others not as engaging or cheerful but all helpful. Reasonable value for money and would give it another visit if in Perth for a play or show or film

Staying nearby so visited here for dinner on 1st June. Situated just one street behind the river and really nice setting. French cuisine so opted for the Grilled Duck breast and it was fantastic. Would definitely return when next in Perth
