The most beautiful location one can dream of. Sitting by the side of a fast move river surrounded by trees and snow. You can have your meal in total silence admiring and loving nature.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world and eat different foods all over the place, but this restaurant is by far my favourite of all time. I can’t fault a single thing about this place: - the location is amazing right next the river, it’s so incredible when it’s rapid as well and loud! - the atmosphere indoors is great, the pub is quite fun and can sometimes be high spirited, however the restaurant is a little separated and it doesn’t affect the dining experience in anyway. - the service provided is just second to none, everyone is so friendly, so helpful, and for me, this is the service to beat. I had a table of 4 booked and in the words of my family, “why can’t everyone just do service like this?”. Truly exceptional. - to top it off, the food is just outstanding. The steak is incredible! I was lucky enough to come here in January 2023 and it was so exceptional that I decided to take family in December of 2023. I was a little nervous that it wouldn’t live up to the hype I’d created for it, but it absolutely exceeded it. I wanted to stay here actually but unsurprisingly, it was fully booked for months! 10/10, couldn’t recommend this place enough.

We were staying overnight in the hotel & 6 of us had the most delicious dinner. We tried the terrine, hummus, soufflé, chicken wings & Cullen skink to start & they were all delicious. We then followed with the chicken burger, beef & ale pie, rib eye steak & fish & chips. Wow, what delicious food. Service was superb & wines were delicious. Sipping drinks in the cosy bar before & after dinner in front of the log burner was was so comfy. Breakfast in the morning was delicious too - a more than decent selection which included crepes with bacon & maple syrup, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs & any variation of their full English. Delightful, cheery service too.
