We have stayed in The Old Mill Inn in the past but visited today for dinner only. The bar and restaurant were busy but not heaving so plenty of tables were free and the reserved tables clearly marked. We were taken by the manager to the rear section of the restaurant and given the worst table available. The table was beside the ordering station , fire exit and the corridor through to the front restaurant. As soon as the waitress came through we asked to move and were reluctantly allowed to move to either of two tables in the centre. We had soup to start followed by Steak and Ale pie and Pork Cheek with Mash. This was followed up with Cranachan and all washed down with some house red.All food was great although the Cranachan lacked Oatmeal and seemed to be frozen so was not what a Cranachan should be.Throughout our meal there didn’t seem to be any reason as to where people with no booking were seated. An elderly couple were shown to the worst table when there were numerous tables available so well done to the manager for this. The whole meal cost £88.00 which was a little bit rich for this standard of establishment. There are plenty of other places for good food at a fairer cost in Pitlochry, try the Moulin Inn if you can .

Beautiful pub with rooms. Deluxe room cosy. Food has big portions. Breakfast was good but partner had to send one back but changed without fuss. Lovely staff. Small carpark though so get early to get a sit.

Beautiful place , amazing food, great service. I had a mushroom on toast and a lamb steak . Portions were very generous , medium rare was more on a rare side but the tasted amazing. The whisky sauce is to die for . Great

The food is absolute Hollywood prices - £19 for a beetroot, avocado and feta salad, some mark up going on there. Same price as the fish n chips. £20 for a chicken curry in a pub. Tourist trap pricesFunny thing is, the beer/ales, while not cheap, don’t approach the food prices, which are defo at the extracting the urine level.

Rooms are very nice, spotlessly clean. Service was excellent and food was a very good standard if a bit pricey, but they're all more expensive in Pitlochry.

Went for dinner once. Ordered the butter chicken and it was very disappointing especially given the price (£20). The curry had no flavour, nothing! Definitely not anything close to a real curry. Also partner ordered a steak pie which was very good. And the atmosphere was good. So maybe just don’t order the curry :)
