Excellent vegan food and fish/meat options, great service. Fine dining style with unusual dishes. Local ingredients. Thoughtful consideration of dietary needs such as gluten free.

The location is superb. Internally, the bistro is very welcoming and attractive; the gallery enhances that. The food - locally caught langoustines and lobster - was excellent. However, sitting above all of that was the staff. Every member of staff with whom we interacted was efficient, attentive, and friendly (in an appropriate fashion). We hope to revisit Pittenweem many times in the future, and a meal in The Dory will be high on the agenda.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Dory , a charming seafood restaurant located in the heart of Pittenweem. This was my second visit. The restaurant's interior was tastefully decorated with local and talented artists. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and soothing background music set the stage for a delightful dining experience. The knowledgeable and friendly staff were more than happy to offer recommendations and provide insights into the preparation of each dish on the menu.Aside from the outstanding food, the service was impeccable. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience.Overall, The Dory offers a delightful culinary journey . The charming ambiance, delectable dishes, and attentive service make it an ideal choice for any occasion.I hope to be back again soon.

We had a fantastic lunch at this delightful bistro. The quality of food was superb, and Ruth and her team dealt brilliantly with the dietary challenges we presented. One of my sons has food allergies and the chef took the time to provide a menu which clearly identified dishes he could eat and those to avoid. My other son is autistic and struggles with “fancy food”, and gets stressed trying to pick a dish. The bistro made clear they were happy to adapt dishes including from the children’s menu, which made him feel at ease. This was superb customer care, and was backed up by a friendly front of house team. I would highly recommend the Dory.

Lucky enough to get a table as walk ins and glad we did. This is a gem of a restaurant in Pittenweem. Food was really tasty and service was friendly and efficient. Our courses were all off the Specials board. My wife had the tempura oysters with wasabi mayo, followed by Bluefin Tuna with tomatillo sauce and rice ball. I had mussels in a white wine and chorizo broth followed by the cioppino fish stew. Pictures of the dishes are below. Everything was delicious and this is a must visit if in the area. Recommend booking ahead though….

Fantastic food coming from locally sourced produce especially the vegetables from their own garden. The freshly landed Scottish caught tuna ceviche was great, the hake with new potatoes was smashing and the espresso martini was simply the best I’ve had. Excellent unobtrusive service topped off the visit and the prices were very reasonable.
