Unsupportive gym regarding pregnancy of members that are outwith your own control. It is to my understanding that there are no pre or post natal instructors therefore would not feel safe doing a workout safely anyway. Just want out contract but having to pay for facilities I physically can't use due to personal medical issues within my pregnancy. Seems very unreasonable.

Warning to potential new members at the Vital Health & Wellbeing Leisure Club at Inchyra Hotel & Spa.As a current paying member of the club, I am currently going through an unfortunate experience with the Inchyra Leisure Club, and I believe it's important to share my concerns to warn potential members. My interactions with the manager have brought to light several issues that may impact other potential future members:• Unfair Contract Terms:As a member of the club, you will be typically locked in to a 12-month fixed contract. If any member faces illness, financial difficulties or unforeseen changes in circumstances, etc. Then you will typically be met with you are ‘under contract’. The contract terms seem unbalanced and unfair, granting the club extensive powers to modify or terminate agreements without offering any recourse for members to do the same.• Unilateral Membership Fee Increases:The club can increase membership fees with a 30-day notice at any point. Members are left without any means to dispute these increases, even when facing financial strain.• Inadequate Support for Pregnant Members:After asking management a few times to confirm whether members of staff/instructors at the club are appropriately trained in pre/post-natal qualifications to provide support and training to members during pregnancy, I have never received a response to this query. If a club this size, operated by MacDonalds Hotels and Spas, doesn’t ensure that every leisure club has a staff member/instructor appropriately pre/post-natal qualified to support members during this crucial time, then this is a major failing.• Excessive Notice Period for Cancellation:Members require a three-month notice period to cancel the membership, which is unreasonably lengthy for a gym contract.Overall, the club facilities are fine but look tired in places (Mouldy shower cubicles, Broken Lockers, Cold pool, and Steam/Sauna rooms closed regularly for maintenance) The staff are generally helpful and friendly when I have used the facilities. These issues collectively contribute to a negative overall experience and reflect a lack of consumer-friendly practices by the club’s management. I hope this information assists individuals in making informed decisions, enabling them to avoid getting stuck within a 12-month contract should they encounter unforeseen issues throughout their membership.

We went for my Mum's 80th birthday celebrations for lunch on Hogmanay and also the Ceilidh dinner dance, with overnight stay. Everything was fantastic from start to finish but a particular mention has to go to the restaurant manager who was on duty at lunchtime on 31st Dec and again at breakfast on the first. She was so attentive and ensured my Mum had a lovely day.

A wonderful way to bring in the New Year.Celebrating it in style with an excellent meal, fabulous music to dance to, with good company. The accommodation was first class, a very spacious room with a king size bed and all the facilities.I also have to mention the staff who were extremely pleasant in particular the young lady Amber serving in the steakhouse who was exceptional.

Service and cleanliness was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was large and spacious, though beginning to be a little tired. Food and drink offerings were ok, if not a little pricey. The location as far as the road network was good. One should avert your eyes from the Grange mouth refinery.

We had a great stay here, in particular the staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. The leisure facilities were great as well. Our room was nice and clean but definitely a little dated and some of the furniture and finishings were showing their age.

Took the family to the lunch with Santa event a week before Christmas. A nice venue and the Santa and his elf were excellently played and with loads of enthusiasm which the kids really enjoyed. The food was ok, nobody massively enjoyed their meal but we weren't really there for the food. Doubtful we would go at any other time of year.

It was my daughters' first time in a hotel. They really enjoyed the experience. The swimming pool was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable.Personally, my husband and I thought the food could've been better for the price. The staff were all kind, helpful and attentive.Overall, a great first family hotel adventure.Nearby activities: Great location for the Kelpies or bo'ness steam train

On arriving at the room, there was a lovely bottle of prosecco, chocolates and a nice card wishing my sister a happy birthday. Was a lovely gesture. Thank you ?Food was lovely, very nice bar and restaurant area. Staff were so friendly and welcoming.Dan that was on reception was a lovely boy. Credit to your company. Will definitely be looking to visit again ☺️

I have stayed in several Macdonald’s hotels over the years. The Inchyra certainly hit the mark.Everything that we requested and required for our two night stay was provided by the staff at the hotel.I would certainly visit again and please let your staff know how kind professional they have been.A pleasure to have met them all.Rooms: Spotless and well sized.Food & drinks: Great menu, breakfast, dinner & of course afternoon tea.

Part of a party of 9 inc 3 kids 5,6 & 8. They had macaroni for dinner and all left their meal almost untouched. No member of staff took the time to enquire if there was anything wrong .I had Lasagne . It was overcooked as was the garlic bread. The Lasagne was extremely oversalted and was by far the worst I have ever tasted.Overall a very poor dining experience.Hugh 267Rooms: OkSafety: OkWalkability: Okay

Had a Elemis Pro-glow Brilliance facial here today for the first time and I can honestly say it’s was one of the worst facials I’ve ever had. The products used are all lovely and I have used them before however the treatment itself wasn’t very hands on and there was long periods I was just lay there while the therapist did other things/wrote things out. I feel this time could have been better used doing a neck and shoulders/chest massage and it’s actually the first time I haven’t received this as part of a facial. There was a slight head massage but it felt more like she was playing with my hair and didn’t last very long at all. There are definitely much better places to have treatments done

Had a really good stay, however we had booked in for two spa treatments and had not been informed that we would have to fill in a form prior to receiving those treatments. We were then greeted by a very passive aggressive member of staff who informed us that we would need to fill in those forms, we then moved to the pool reception to fill these in where the manager informed us that we would have our treatments cut short as they are running back to back. Bearing in mind we were not told about the forms and this was a 25-minute treatment that would leave us with a 10-minute treatment time. The manager offered us another time that day but unfortunately, we had already checked out she then did not offer us to have our treatments rearranged to a different day and said there was nothing else she could do. We have received a voucher for the treatments after complaining to hotel reception but no money back was offered and I live far away. I think the way in which the Spa staff handled this was very unprofessional and it ruined the overall experience of our stay and we left on a sour note.
