We had afternoon tea here. Although offered on the menu for 2 people, it was no problem getting the one for 3 people. There is a small parking lot behind the house but it was occupied when we arrived. But there is parking on the street. The food was very tasty, we were served very quickly, friendly and courteously. The price was totally fine for what was offered.

Delicious! What a fantastic cafe. Homemade pea and mint soup with homemade oatcakes. Yum! I was then faced with the impossible decision of which homemade cake, from the extensive selection, to have with coffee. The lemon cake was perfectly light and fluffy with a tart lemon taste.Service was very friendly, helpful and courteous. I would visit here again and highly recommend it.

Our small family group visited here for lunch as our usual place was closed... but what a find! We were welcomed to a fairly full room about 1pm by a cheery girl and seated with menus provided. The girl taking the order and serving us was also cheery and attentive. The food (sandwiches or soup n sandwich) were served within a very few minutes. They were freshly made,, tasty and filling. No space left for the intended cake afterwards. The tea was provided in pots giving two cups each. The prices were reasonable. Any downsides? ... that would be "nit picky" but the tables were a bit small. Best estimate of how we rated it? ... We'll be back instead of going to our previous haunt.
