Last minute booking for 2 adults on a Sunday at 3pm. For a relatively quiet village the rest was very busy. Great service on entering and waiting staff were very efficient. Food and drinks orders were taken quickly and correctly. My seafood platter was excellent and probably too much for one person whilst the boss's deluxe scampi won't down a treat. 2 mains, 2 soft drinks, 2 wines £75.

Visited coast a couple of times recently when returning to the Inverclyde area. A really good venue with a great menu to suit all tastes. Great atmosphere with great views over the River Clyde. Service was first rate, and staff very friendly.

Staff are always a bit abrupt and assertive. Today was no different. "Welcome to Coast, we are expecting it to be very busy today so there will be no amendments or substitutions on orders and we can not guarantee that drinks will be served before or along with your meal". And no kids menu on mother's day?! Acting like a Michelin star restaurant with a Wetherspoons menu.

Me, my partner and my baby came here for Mother’s Day. As soon as we arrived the women at the door seating people immediately had a bad attitude as my partner had not booked on our baby as a 3rd guest. We stood there for about 5 minutes whilst she huffed and puffed. She then said we were able to be seated in the lounge area. Which for us wasn’t a problem at all. But we were under the impression it would have been easier for her to have us leave altogether and to be honest if my partner hadn’t of paid a deposit, we would have. Sadly, this ruined our experience right from the get go. Then whilst ordering we were told no changes to the dishes are to be made under no circumstances. We were also not able to add sides, despite having this option on the menu. We have no complaints about the food, but in no hurry to return.

Great we location with a nice wee drive to the restaurant. Staff within restaurant all so lovely and go that extra mile.Service outstanding same with the atmosphere music wasn’t to loud and a beautiful view from the table looking out to the Clyde.Food was amazing great prices for the size of plates you get. Plenty of drink choices.

Shame. Have eaten here a few times but had the chicken burger this time, and it was really disappointing. It was deep fried and clearly overdone with the coating too tough to eat and the chicken dry.We will be back but will avoid this option.

First time visit taking my 100 years old mum. Got seat by the window overlooking the Clyde and Dumbarton Rock. Most important for mum was menu for food she recognised and didn't have to ask, 'what is that?'. Good portions of good food and she needed a doggy bag. Staff very pleasant and professional.

Superb food in a beautiful restaurant. Staff and service were excellent. Attention to detail was outstanding. From management to the waiting on tables every detail was spot on. And the food was excellent in each meal. Totally faultless. I will be recommending this to all my friends. Whoever is responsible for the hiring they clearly know what they want to deliver such great food and well trained staff. Congratulations to all involved.

Very attractive venue with terrific views across the Clyde, staff very friendly. However, totally let down by the food which is totally bland. Such a shame. However, judging by the packed tables, it's not a view that is widely shared.
