Simple pub with some rooms. A bit aging. Was okay for a stop for 1 night. Breakfast was a packed pastry and some Corn Flakes with milk, which was provided at check in.A bit remote place, not much else to do.Rooms: Simple small room with own bath in an annex to the pub. Clean and suitable.Walkability: The main village with some alternatives for drink and food is a 2 km walk away through a small road. Recommended to bring a torch (to signal traffic)Food & drinks: Limited opening times of the pub in the early evening.Beer was good. Didn't eat there.

Food & drinks: We stayed one night. Hotel is lovely, but we had dinner there and it was awful, chips were greasy and tasted of old oil and macaroni was the worst I ever had, tasted funny and very watery, my partner had chicken fillets which weren't great, greasy and salad was wilted. Such a shame as we went by other people's reviews. £28 for frozen food, definitely not home made, (horrible food)

I was on holiday with my family in this area and this was the closest place so we decided to have dinner here. When we entered the room had the lights off and the waiter was almost surprised that we were there to eat. However he turned on the lights and made us sit.Service quite fast, cleanliness definitely needs improvement.A basic classic English pub menu and unfortunately almost half the menu was not available. We ordered two steak pies and some chicken fingers for the little girl and unfortunately the quality wasn't the best.I was hoping for something more reading the various reviews.

Very nice place. Thought it was nearer town but didn't matter too much. Lovely room and bathroom. Contained a bath and shower which was great. We ate dinner at hotel which was excellent. Extra large bed was very comfy too. Breakfast in room (continental) was as expected. I would recommend the Neuk though not if you are looking to go shopping as its a wee walk on a road with no pavement.

The food was really good and so was the atmosphere.

Lovey place in a seaside town of 41 houses. The managers are very nice and helpful and the cuisine is very good. In 5 minutes on foot you arrive at the cliff.

2 night stay and host was very welcoming our room was very clean and comfortable. Went into bar for a drink and locals very welcoming and chatty and we ordered food and had a very nice dinner. Nice area to walk around in.

Nice place for a good lunch / dinner. Staff attentive and seemly family owned. You could tell the food was really fresh. Had the fire on which was ace. Also for any smokers there is a nice bit outside the front with a comfy seat.

The high point was the friendly service of the lady who made our meal and the meal itself. She was totally unfazed by the fact that we wanted to eat in our room, because we're Covid-vulnerable, and actually brought our meal to us, although we'd said we were happy to collect. She showed respect and sensitivity by physical distancing throughout. The choice of food was less than that shown on the menu, but maybe that's to be expected in November. Likewise the bar was rather thinly stocked. We didn't like that the person who took us to our room went straight in to show us where things were was unmasked the entire time, despite us being masked and having explained that that we are clinically vulnerable. We should have asked him not to go in, I suppose, but it gets wearisome constantly having to do other people's thinking for them. Anyway, there was a gale blowing, so we were able to ventilate the room fairly quickly (at the expense of the warmth, in the short term at least). The room itself appeared okay at first sight, but was very basic. Given that the included breakfast was DIY, there was too little in the way of surfaces to prepare it and to have necessities such as toiletries out and accessible - breakfast was a juggling act. There was only a bedside table and reading lamp on one side of the bed. On the upside, there were two armchairs. The breakfast itself we thought quite disappointing, consisting per person, of an individually wrapped 42g croissant, a 26g pack of oatcakes, a Philadelphia cream cheese individual portion, a portion of butter, a 125ml carton of orange juice, a carton of milk and a wee selection of individual cereal portions. We've no objection at all to a DIY breakfast, but a little choice would have been nice and the croissant was small for a breakfast. Worst of all though was the lack of cleanliness. Obvious surfaces, such as table tops, appeared clean enough, but the bedside light revealed a skirting board that hadn't been dusted for many months and the bathroom was straightforwardly filthy - the chrome-finished shower hose was black and the clear silicone seal at the bottom of the shower screen was thick with greasy filth - I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it in a hotel. We didn't examine or picture the brown streak on the front of the toilet bowl.
