It is December 15, 2023. Staying in a hotel not far away and after tackling Bealach na Bà by bike, I was extremely hungry. Hours are reduced because we are in low season and close to the holidays but everything is indicated on their website, don't hesitate to take a look. You should know that the restaurant is located in the garden and as night falls very early (around 3:30 p.m.), bring a flashlight to access it because there are no street lights on the road.Tonight it was pizza. At first I was a little disappointed because I wanted local dishes but I don't regret it at all. On the way I met a local (a photographer named Jack) who advised me to take the seafood dishes because after all, we are close to the ocean and he pointed out to me that it was really delicious. He was right. The seafood pizza was so delicious. It's homemade with good products. The atmosphere is so warm, all these beautiful decorations as the holidays approach and this good atmosphere. The waitress was so attentive and friendly. I will come back without hesitation!

Outstanding tapas meal. We arrived on the cusp of service ending for the afternoon, but were greeted warmly and served quickly. Excellent fried green tomatoes, squid, and goats cheese parcels. Faultless and lovely walk after around the walled garden.

Scallop and squid was delicious. We had 3 sharing plates and 2 sides for two, and a cheesecake to celebrate my birthday. Thanks for the lovely and warm service!

Amazing food in an even more amazing place, big garden beautifully maintained. We tried the fish and chips with the salmon linguine that were really good. If you want to try some gin try the raasay isle one with a splash of tonic. If i return to applecross i'll go back

We had been told to try the Walled Garden after a disappointing start to our evening elsewhere. My friend had messaged them on Facebook to see if they had availability and Jon the owner had responded quickly to say that there was and he had booked us a table. We arrived at just after 6pm and we were welcomed warmly. We weren't quite ready for food, but they were happy to serve us drinks until we ordered just before the cut off time. The food was all delicious and around the table there was a mixture of tapas items which we shared and my husband ordered a burger from the specials board. It was all lovely and felt very fresh and the crispy gnocchi was a star dish. Reluctant to get back to our campsite nearby due to the weather conditions, they kindly let us stay at our table whilst they were clearing up and we were glad to meet Jill, Gilbert and Gabriel working that evening. We had a fabulous time and could not have asked for a better last night on our holiday. Its just a shame that we didn't really get to see the garden in the daylight because from the glimpses we saw, it looked beautiful, but if we are in the area again we will come back and will recommend to family and friends also.

This restaurant was perfect! We chanced upon it, hadn’t booked, had had a long winding drive across Bealach Na Ba and were keen for a bite and a coffee. The staff could not have been friendlier. The menu was diverse and great quality. The garden provided a beautiful outlook and was lovely for a wander after lunch. Worth booking ahead but we were treated very hospitably, as were others whom we observed to arrive unannounced.

We were revisiting a place we had loved 10 years ago, and it did not disappoint. The garden has grown in that time, and the restaurant is still cosy, good quality food, and a wide range of menu for a big or small appetite. The walled garden doesnt have updated information, so you are taking a big chance going all that way on the offchance, so its better to call and book, to avoid disappointment.

The place is gentle and worth a walk around the garden before you enter. We had dinner after arriving over the top into Applecross. The sat at said it was 147kms, the reality was it was 690 metres. We’ll worth a visit for Scotlands answer to Tappas. The creamed haggis was to die for. Mackerel was fresh. A delight to sample lots of Scottish dishes. They say 3-4 dishes per person, I’d recommend 3 unless you’re really hungry. Puds we’re a bit disappointing the deer we saw on the way back to our B&B finished off the lovely evening.

Visited the walled garden about 7 years ago and was keen to return as it was amazing! I have to say after reading some of the reviews and thinking no this can't be right. Unfortunately I have to agree with some of them. I am not sure why the menu that is pushed is the tapas, in the highlands of Scotland. I could understand if it was Scottish dishes, but it was a total mishmash, it didn't make sense. The tapas was okay, some of the courses cold, some fine, nothing amazing. Toilets dirty. Staff friendly enough and a beautiful setting. £72 for the food and 1 glass of wine, far to expensive, £8.50 for patas bravas (not very well cooked boiled potatoes). I hope the restaurant listens to the reviews to improve, I've read some aggressive responses. It should be the no.1 place and it could be again. But get back to Scottish dishes, reduce your very expensive prices and make sure the meals you cook are warm and delicious. I did message the walled garden saying I was disappointed the table I had booked was not booked when we arrived, luckily it was quiet enough. I received a very rude, sarcastic response back. Poor show from the person responding, "these things happen, we can't be perfect all the time" hence my urge to write a review more so. So looking forward to this but it wasn't great.

The atmosphere and surroundings are very good, so as the service. Can’t say the same for the food though, all the seafood was from frozen and the linguini was overcooked. Such a shame.

Beautiful gardens, a real asset to the area. Food in the cafe was delicious and it was real nice to be eating the gardens produce. Good vegetarian and vegan options. Aside from the fresh food the cafe was unfortunately lacking. The cake was badly presented and did not look fresh and the orange juice I ordered tasted cheap and like it was from concentrate. Which was a shame as the rest of our experience was lovely. A good cafe but has the potential to be great.
