“We stayed here one night after 5days of hiking an alternative route of the Cape Wrath trail. A beautiful track, but because of Storm Babet also sometimes quite challenging (with extreme wind, snow, rain, and rivers in spate) Arriving in Strathcarron all trains were canceled because of the storm, but luckely for us there was the Strathcarron Hotel. A haven of hospitality, great local food and a comfortable room. We thank Richard, the super friendly owner for his warm welcome and help arranging transport back to our car.Krista and Ruud”
