One of the loveliest restaurants in Scotland. Food was superb, everything was really tasty and well cooked, service was excellent and cozy decoration made us wanted to stay for another night. Would totally recommend it!

Haven't been for a few years but it used to be a fabulous restaurant and pub, in a stunning location. Always wanted to go back some day. We stayed at Meldalloch lodges a few miles times but they tended to accommodate more to the Dutch as the years went on. Our last stay was probably around late 1990s.

My partner and I stopped for a light lunch here today. Only half expected it to be open, but it was (winter opening times); and a nice welcome. Fairly busy, a good sign, excellent choice on menu, we had mushroom soup (excellent) and langoustines (again excellent) and coffee's each. Nice ambience, real fire, pleasant staff. Well worth a visit!

My son and girlfriend went today on my recommendation. Table for 2. Did you book? No. No tables then. A couple of tables were occupied. We can give you fish and chips take away. Sandwich asks my son. No. I suggested he go further down the road to the Inver. Better by far in my opinion. I have always been under impressed by the place. It could be magnificent. Always below average. I understand it must be difficult being in the middle of nowhere, but all the more reason to excel at what you do. Now permanently off my list.
What a magical place. It has the atmosphere of a cosy pub, but the food is absolutely excellent. We had the roast cod which was caught in Loch Fyne, and it was one of the best fish dishes we've tried. The langoustines were also really fresh and tasty in the garlic sauce. It's a bit off the beaten track but totally worth the detour. The service is really friendly too. It's advisable to book ahead if you're dining.
