Had my 40th birthday lunch yesterday with family & friends , the food was excellent and very well priced came out piping hot and everyone left an empty plate , special thanks for Zafar from the day we went into see venue up till last night was so helpful and went above n beyond to make sure my day was special , we had the side room there was 24 of us and the staff went above and beyond after lunch we got to play our own music and we got to spend the rest of the night in the room and unlike other places we didn’t get rushed out , the waitress Kayleigh was amazing so friendly and welcoming and everyone in the party spoke so highly of her , nothing was a problem she defo a credit to Redstones .Would highly recommendCan’t wait to visit again .Food & drinks: Food amazing & cocktail's 10/10 and so well priced

Enjoyed a nice meal in a nice hotel but was surprised by the amount and size of weeds in the surrounding garden seating area.

Got to be honest and say we were disappointed after our first ever visit. We’d seen the reviews and my wife thought it would be a nice surprise for my birthday. The food was ok, nothing special. The singer at the function was awful and too loud for us sittings in the restaurant. Trying to cope with the function and restaurant left the staff struggling. Saving grace was a lovely wee waitress. Afraid we’ll not be back.

The wedding reception that we attended was very pleasant and the staff very attentive and helpful . However , the problems arose because of the temperature in the room that the reception was held was very hot and uncomfortable .We closed the window blinds to limit the heat from the sun as several of us were feeling extremely uncomfortable due to the heat . This made no difference , so we asked the staff if we could have the windows opened, unfortunately they were unable to do this as they had misplaced /lost the keys to the windows , and additionally when we asked if the air conditioning could be switched on we were told it wasn’t working . In summary the experience was not as good as it could have been as several people were suffering badly with their breathing due to the heat in the room .

Went for breakfast. It was continental style. Food was great, staff friendly and it was well laid out. I will certainly go back. We also go there most Friday nights and always have a great time. Staff always welcoming, great service and lovely meals.

Went for dinner in the ev barStarters were lovely but that's where it ends the mixed grill was tiny for £20.952 chicken wings,1 lamb chop ,1/3 chicken breast and 3 chunks of beef with chips and surpost to be mushroom and salad not what it stated on the menu at alland the sausage on the pizza was weird it tasted as tho it was made of bread crumbs and milk!!!If you don't have the ingredients for the meal don't put it on the menu.

Went in by lunchtime to meet up with friends. Although there was a big funeral getting catered for we were still made welcome and staff went over and above to make sure we were served appropriately. Food was great and so was atmosphere.Nearby activities: There are nice shops, bars and cafes further on in Uddingston main street.Walkability: A 5 minute walk takes you to Uddingston main streetFood & drinks: Food is lovely in Redstones with a good choice. Good choice of cocktails and other drinks of choice.

Terrible meal - the haggis Arancini was completely bland and the sauce came with a skin on it.The Strogganoff sauce was dark brown, gluggy and thick and did not resemble any strogganoff sauce I’ve ever had - it too was completely tasteless.Service was so slow too - all in all a really bad customer experience and I won’t be back

Positiveslocation is good for Uddingston town centre and it’s close to the train station.water pressure in the shower was good.the bar / restaurant was heaving when I arrived so it’s clearly a popular place.decent sized car parksome nice original features (stain glass etc)smell of fresh paint so hopefully a sign they are doing the place up.tea and coffee making facilities in roomNegativesreception experience was poor - no hello how are you - no questions about whether I was parked there or if I wanted breakfast. just got asked if I wanted to pay now. when I asked if i could pay when I left I was told it was better if I paid at the start.room was superficially clean but a few issues - hair in the sink, rubbish left in the bin from previous guest. blood (!) on the bedsheets - they had been washed and it was an old stain, but not a stain you want to see.generally room was a bit tired - loose door on wardrobe, shoogly drawers, cracked sink and tiles.Telly didn’t work - it needed an internet connection which wasn’t working - so could only watch a couple of shopping channels and some vintage comedy shows.noisy - you can hear all the noise from the bar in the room so it’s noisy until about half eleven.drinks - I had an amaretto- when they poured it was Veroni, not a brand I recognised. turns out they sell it in Iceland for £8 a bottle. paid £8.45 for a double and a glass of soda water.breakfast - still not sure if this was included. it wasn’t mentioned when I checked in. I left about 8am and again it wasn’t mentioned, and there was no sign they were set up for it. I just handed my key to the night watchman and left.price - if this was £50 I’d probably not be as bothered but £93 is a lot of money to take
