Arrived at a very busy time of day, but we had booked a table. We were shown to a lovely round table just behind the bar. Our server was extremely friendly, and helpful we couldn’t fault her, she was brilliant, we had a fussy eater with us and she got his order spot on, understood what he wanted and what he didn’t. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but I did hear she had only just started working there that week.Food was perfect, no complaints at all about any of the food , we all enjoyed it.Only complaint I do have and it’s why I didn’t give you 5 stars is when we were ready to ask for the bill we found it extremely difficult to find anyone to ask. Our server had gone on a break and everyone else was talking to each other or hanging about the kitchen as the restaurant had quietened down. In the end we had to go and ask at the bar after quite a long wait, then we had to go back to the bar to pay as no one came to our table, bit of a disappointing end to a lovely meal.

I visited the Bell at Tong for lunch with a friend. I hadn't been there for some years, but it was more or less as I remembered it. The pub is in a good setting, though beside a busy main road. We sat in the conservatory, where most of the diners were. The welcome was professional and encouraging and we were shown straight to our table. The staff seemed friendly and competent. Ordering was dealt with smoothly and the food arrived in good time. The menu is not over extensive and gives a good choice of dishes, including vegetarian and vegan food. The food when it came was at the right temperature and was tasty and good. Would I go to the Bell again? Yes, probably. Thank you

We had the luck 3 course menu very good value, soup, roll, Butternut squash tart salad and asked if the white potatoes could be changed for another vegetable, no problem.Excellent service by 3 members and great food. 2nd time we've been recently much improved from years ago.
