First time at this Restaurant for us. We absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was attentive and efficient.The food was delicately spiced and not overbearing. Not oily or greasy either.We highly recommend this restaurant to dine in or for takeaways.Many other reviews rave about the Momo (Dumplings) starter. We agree. Definitely worth trying.

Booked a table for two online and got there and the place was heaving with loads of people waiting on tables. Didn’t bother staying and went over to the Third Place instead. Booking system is clearly not working.

Always top notch food at Avatar, one of my favourite restaurants in Shrewsbury. I previously had the Lamb Shank Rogan Josh which was so tender and so tasty. Great food, great service. If you haven't tried Nepalese cuisine before I strongly advise you give it a try, don't think of it as a curry house, more of it an an asian experience of different tastes. The menu is extensive and we all tried something different and everybody commented how good it was.I had the pork belly starter and colonial style chicken main, what you think might be a standard dish similar to what you have had before... think again, thank you Avatar.Definately worth a try if you like curry but want authentic traditional recipes with flavour at the heart of the dishes rather than something that is just hot for the sake of it.A real assault on the taste buds.

Fabulous food but anyone with food allergies/dairy intolerance would find it a limited menu. There is disabled access but a tight area to negotiate. Obviously extremely popular. No idea if there is an accessible toilet or how one would get to it.
