“Without a doubt - the greatest breakfast I have ever had the great fortune to consume. 10/10. Lovely décor, super staff, local artwork on the walls and a deluge of James Brown, Otis Redding, The Impressions and Fleetwood Mac being played on the stereo. The BEST.”

“Great food, clean, friendly..
Would have been better if the waitress had listened carefully to the order and got an order correct first time.
However, on third attempt it was corrected.
The food was fabulous, good selection of wine.
Desert to die for. Big portions
Vegetarian options: I had a lovely vegi burger”

“Lovely little cafe on a busy road. Called at lunch today whilst shopping and needing a break. Compact menu. Sandwich on nice bread and the mother double egg on toast. Delish. Saw a breakfast come out and it looked a monster! Might try it next time. Nice staff.
Edit Aug 25 : Had breakfast here this morning. All fresh and made to order. Very nice.”

“I had a very long and tiring work trip from London to Shrewsbury today, with a 5am start, and it was entirely worth it for the BLT at this place. I have never eaten a better sandwich in my life. Utterly sublime bread (which I believe is from the baker down the road). Freshly cooked hot crispy bacon. Juicy tomatoes, perfectly seasoned. Lettuce that had been DRESSED which makes all the difference. The perfect amount of mayo. Served with a perfect iced coffee. Incredibly friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere to boot? I am genuinely sad I live so far away, or I would be here all the time.”

“This is a lovely cafe that serves excellent food. There is a basic menu + specials, and they do everything well. Portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.
The staff are friendly and the service is quick. Nothing is too much trouble.
There are 3 x 2 seat tables and 2 x 4 seat tables, so it is a cosy space and ideal if you find large eating places overwhelming. It is quiet with muted lighting and is very relaxed. I feel as if I'm in my own home.
There are toilets upstairs and downstairs in the adjoining Conservative Club.
It is across from the bus station so it isn't far to walk if you travel into town by bus.”

“I was perhaps a tad awkward in negotiating a table that suited me but it is very popular, and rightly so, with a great deal of advance reservations even for lunch.
I came across this place accidentally when my previous choice cancelled at short notice due to the chef taking ill and therefore not opening.
I was pleasantly surprised and I will definitely be going back as it exceeded expectations.”
