Brilliant place, for the carvery the key is going early !

Place looked unkempt tooOpen and unattractive surroundings. The Yorkshire puddings were like hard stones. The vegetables were dry and the tiny roast potatoes were burnt. I have mobility issues and couldn’t get anyone to help me at the carvery. I left my ticket at my table and because of this I was given a small serving of meat by an older female cutting up meat. I have doubts she was the chef. Sadly the clientele were noisy. It was a horrible experience. I received my money back and hope the place gets re furbished with more intimate spaces and softer lighting. Pity there’s no Toby Carvery in ShrewsburyParking: Location for accessibly parking was quite a way to walk.

Could not have desired meal as fish fried had broken. So chose hunters chicken,complete absence of BBQ sauce on chicken. Mentioned it to person who took our plates after the meal and asked her to mention this to the manager. Absolutely no response from the manager. Will never go here again.

Don’t really know where to start,booked a table for a family meal told them exactly who was co ming adults kids etc,should have been wary when ignored at table wait here to be served,eventually someone from bar shouted,and showed us to table,ordered at bar and order was repeated,starters eventually arrived correct,from there downhill kids burgers were actually bigger than adults,peppercorn sauce was still frozen,burger not cooked ,missing extras etc,sent back no effort to replace duty manager walked away when complained to “to calm down!!!she said,the only person with credit on night was Mark the car very chef who bearing in mind we did not order anything from him was great and attempted to try to help.

There were 23 of us and we pre ordered the food. Everything was perfect and everyone really enjoyed their food. Everything was correct with the food and we will definitely be visiting again. No complaints at all from any of us. Thank you.

Food was atrocious and missing item service from one server very rude , used to like coming here , don't think I will be rushing to come again .

i arrived at 4pm Wednesday 10th january 2024, and i was shocked by the appalling lack of customer service shown by the team! Firstly, when we walked through the door and waited to be seated as it asks at the front desk, we were visibly ignored by what looked like the manager at the time. She was stood chatting to her male colleague where they serve the calvery and turned to look at us, then finished her conversation. About two minutes pass, where she shouts at me and my partner “ sit wherever you want!” So as we did, we took a seat on table 36, in which i can only say was a silly decision on our behalf as it looked as though the staff members were having some kind of meeting around the tables next to us with vapes, cigarettes and energy drink cans chucked around the table, whilst having inappropriate conversations. We ordered online, and had to wait a good five minutes for our drinks as all the staff were sat around the table chatting, this is when the rude woman who told us to sit down saw that an order had come through and rolled her eyes at the fact that she actually had to do some work! she bought the drinks over and just put them on the table and walked away. We then got up to get our calvery when one of the waitresses that was sat at their table stands in front of us and takes a plate full of roast potatoes, which she had helped herself to without acknowledging us, leaving only 4 potatoes left for me and my partner. when the man who served our calvery finally came out, he dished up our fatty and pink turkey, then when i asked where all the sides were (there was only peas, carrots and mash out) he said i’ll get them in a minute! i had to ask three times where were the roast potatoes, stuffing and cauliflower cheese! he finally brings out the stuffing and says “ god it’s a sh*t show out there, i’ve only just started and i don’t know how they’ve cooked this” and then serves us soggy stuffing which he even said didn’t look right! then again he bought out the potatoes which were also raw! the gravy stand did not have a lid and therefore it was cold. when i sat down to eat my food i remembered that me and my partner had ordered extra pigs in blankets! Of course it took me a while to find someone who would get off their table and serve me (their table was a few steps from the bar) i asked if we could have our pigs in blankets and the girl said yes! she instantly bought them over which is making me think how long were they ready and would anyone have bought them over if i didn’t ask! No one came and asked us if our food was okay, which as someone who has worked in hospitality for years, i am astonished by the rudeness! Me and my partner left without hardly touching our food, i had to spit out parts of the turkey it wasn’t even chewable. When we left we got a goodbye from one person sat at the “staff” table. however, the tables that were taken when me and my partner arrived were now empty yet the plates and glasses were still there, no one had bothered to clear them. Must i add, the restaurant was very quiet at the time! I look forward to hearing your response! i have taken pictures which i am happy to show you! I would like a contact for someone who can deal with this.

Just discovered this place today. So fortunate they could fit us in. Attractive place, with a really good atmosphere. Back-ground music at just the right level, welcoming but not intrusive, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Although there were two meat eaters, who headed for the carvery and one served-to-table meal, the service was was perfectly timed so all were able to eat together. The most appetizingly presented, and tasting, vegan chili I've had in years. Will definitely be trying to book here for next year.
