Came by a few days ago with my family and had a good experience at this restaurant. Great staff, good food, and a decent atmosphere.

Had a Steak Sandwich which was Lukewarm,Customers returning their Lager not happy,Quite a long wait for courses,Not clearing plates off table quick enough,Not a good atmosphere ?

Food is okay although the chips came out cold. The service was relatively fast today but isn’t always the case. Wasn’t impressed with some of the staff. We were sat near the kitchen and the kitchen staff repeatedly opened the doors and shouted across the restaurant. At one point they came out with loud music on their phone and started to ‘practice’ a dance. There was constant shouting coming from the kitchen and across the restaurant. The loud laughing didn’t bother me but the bickering did.

Food very bad waited 2 hours to get cold Mac and cheese.Fish was half cooked and full of fat.Chicken burger was hard Macy’s do it better.The kids pizza looked uncooked little lady wouldn’t eat it don’t blame her. When we complained we got 2 meals free and a £50 gift card but still had to pay for the rest.

I always come to this pub and have done for a few years but after today, I don’t think I will be returning.1. Service - shocking, no one come to check our food was okay, no one come to check on us and update us after waiting more then and hour for food. Ordered a cheese burger without the cheese - come with cheese but by then we were done with waiting and didn’t want to risk another long wait for a fresh one. No offer of sauces. No apology for the long wait.2. Atmosphere - instantly out of when the two tables that we were sat opposite walked out because they were waiting 1 hour and a half for food. It’s also freezing in there especial when your sat waiting for an hour or so.3. Standard, not the worst, not the best. Child’s handful of chips. Cold steak on my steak sandwich. Was not worth an hour and a half wait - left feeling hungry and certainly didn’t want to order a pudding to be waiting an hour.To add to that, half of the menu was out of stock.Service used to be great and food lovely to but it has really gone down hill.

Dreadful! The manager had a couldn't care less attitude. He's running the place into the ground. I wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone and most certainly won't be returning. What a disappointing experience ?

I’d like to start by stating the female serve who was dealing with us was lovely, very understanding and helpful, unfortunately that was the only positive from my visit. Booking for a roast dinner on Mother’s Day, we were told that they had ran out of roasts.This was at 3:45, so I sincerely hope nobody in the evening was wanting a roast dinner. A completely different drink was brought to one of our party, which they then tried to bill us for. A member of our party ordered the gammon with pineapple instead of eggs, to then be served with two runny eggs on top of their gammon as they didn’t have any pineapple, we were not given the opportunity to deny the eggs before the meal came. The fish was extremely oily and over battered, almost like it had been put through the fryer multiple times. The manager then sent our bill over, without the reduction of the £30 deposit I had paid, which we had to ask for to be taken off. Extremely poor from the start, and dissatisfied considering we made an effort for Mothers Day.
Lovely pub, great staff. Been my local since the early 90s, but hadn't been in for quite some time. It's changed a lot...and I like what they've done with the place. Well worth a visit

Staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and welcoming, couldn't fault them, food was quite tasty initially but very greasy fish, turn the oil up, both my husband and I were ill when we got home.

Staff friendly waited 25 mins for chicken on skewer food arrived barely warm they totally forgot l was waiting had to remind them when l did hey presto food came out immediately not a patch on when it was owned by hungry horse.Very disappointed.
