The most amazing flavoursome food ever to be tasted! Well worth a visit to if you are within the Shrewsbury area, hands down the BEST restaurant with such a fabulous friendly team ♥️ Can’t wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful evening. The restaurant and bar are beautifully decorated and in such a historic building. We loved our dinner - terrine and mackerel to start and then lamb and bake for mains. All cooked and presented exquisitely. Everyone was very attentive and we will definitely be coming back.

Had a delicious meal at the reopened Drapers. Wonderful old room and tables, with an excellent ambience. Attentive and friendly but discrete service. Lamb, Pork and Hake absolutely delicious. Great to see the place back in action. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

We do enjoy coming here but for the first time I have a couple of issues (very minor, don't worry). I had rabbit terrine to start which pickles and sourdough which I must say was fabulous apart from the single piece of cartilidge I found. I followed this up by the Hake for my main course which, for the first time, didn't quite hit the spot for me, so.ething about creamy pomme puree under the beautifully cooked fish just didn't quite work. My fiance had the roast pork which she said was cracking as always and she thoroughly enjoyed her dessert of apple and berry crumble (which was actually just on the menu as apple crumble) The service, as always, is lovely and they can never do enough for you. I very well conditioned pint of Ludlow Gold and a nice bottle of Prosecco. The other tiny thing was that the menu was advertised as 2 course for £26 and 3 courses for £30 ( i think). We got charged one 2 course and one 3 course when we actually had two 2 course. But hey, I wasn't going to complain about £4. None of these things are any where near enough to stop us returning. See you soon.

We had eaten at the previous incarnations of Draper’s Hall and were eager to see the latest offering. We booked for Father’s Day lunch. Meal was was fabulous. We all had the 3 courses (£30 pp) and chose soup, ham hock and salmon for starters these were great and the perfect size to increase our appetite for the mains. Beef, pork and risotto were also really tasty with huge amounts of veggies. We finished with cheese, lemon meringue pie and sticky toffee pudding. Delicious food the perfect portion sizes but what topped it off was the excellent service. Efficient, unobtrusive, attentive and friendly staff that made the experience superb. We will eat here again and enthusiastically recommend.

Went for an early dinner, had a drink in the bar area before going to our table. The espresso martini was yummy! then the food was excellent and service too. Was nice for a treat for a special occasion. Would definitely recommend

We booked a birthday Lunch which was fabulous. The building and decor feels impressive, but really its the food that is the star of this place. The lunch menu was varied and so much to offer, but ultimately it was just utterly delicious!

We were a party of four, dining early on a Wednesday evening and what a gem we discovered. Between us we had lamb, Guinea fowl and pork dishes and couldn’t fault any of them. We have eaten in many fine dining restaurants and this was up amongst them without any of the pretentiousness or inflated prices that often accompany their status. The food was beautifully presented, sensibly sized portions and fantastic flavours. The ambience was relaxed, very friendly and unrushed. Loved it.

Good few, nicely prepared and beautifully prepared in lovely surroundings. Will certainly go again. For an extra star, I might have expected just a little bit more but, other than that, it was good

Really enjoyed eating here with my son. The atmosphere in this building is special, the service was spot and the food was different from the norm and presented beautifully. Pricing reasonable for the quality too! Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

This gorgeous restaurant has very discreet signage - so we weren’t even sure it was open. Luckily we opened the door and found ourselves in an exceptional dining area - all tudor panelling, oak trestles & lamplight. We had a lunchtime charcuterie sharing platter. Lovely selection of quality meats, cheeses, breads & pickles for £16. We’re planning to return for an overnight visit.

we had a great night but something was missing, slightly pompous service, slightly underwhelming tastes, great venue, dont want to be critical but... prefer la dolce vita where they get the tastes spot on, not just the right look of the food
