Ordered a T-bone steak waited 45mins and they weren’t busy,Ordered rare first turned up grisly and medium cooked unable to cut with a steak knife?Second turned up cooked correctly but was colder than my pint ?Unfortunately at this point I’d decided not to continue and then I asked for my bill and they tried charging me for the steaks I didn’t eat? ?‍♂️So unfortunately deeply disappointedMay of been an off day but a bad experience none the less.

We booked for Sunday roast today. Everything was perfect. The drinks were excellent, especially the ales. I had a perfectly kept Butty Bach. We had the roast beef and roast chicken, both of which were very tasty and done to our liking, and in large portions. Vegetables and gravy and Yorkshire puddings completed the plate. The service was friendly and efficient, and the bill was surprisingly not at all eye watering. I think we might be back next Sunday....

visited for saturday night to eat i selected allotment pie, before serving i was asked if i wanted cheese on top which i thought was strange. it arrived with chips and peas, the menu said mash and seasonal veg. i was so looking forward to the pie as a vegetarian, and the pastry as it was stated as homemade. it wasnt even cooked right, it was just basically a couple new potatoes carrots onion in a vegetarian gravy with cheese on top, no pastry nothing. I've never ever seen or witnessed a pie like it, a schoolkid could do better . brother had chicken tikka but he said he doubt was homemade either, the pie defo was cos no supplier would ever ever sell that

Our choice of starter was not available we had to settle for an alternative; Our main meal took an age to arrive & I noted the pasty appeared to be uncooked; we moved this aside & tasted the meat we both remarked it was very salty & could not eat it. We called the waitress who took the food away; she asked if we wanted anything else we declined & paid the bill for the starters & drinks. Very disappointed.

The owner has a serious issue with dogs and has requested that any dog that barks nearby his business is put down and has been harassing his neighbours requesting that the dogs are destroyed. Terrible behaviour, and is lucky the police aren’t called for harassment.

Food was lovely, smaller portions allowed and staff were very friendly & helpful. Sunday lunch was superb & all subsequent meals to this evening were lovely too. Different cook for last night & tonight but Molly didn't let the standard drop. Thanks to everyone, we hope to meet you again.
