Lovely place, great facilities and exceptional food. Evening meal, started with Jerusalem Artichokes, in sesame and soy the flavour was lovely. Main, we both had Turbot with squash and a side of glazed carrots, delicious and perfectly cooked. Deserts equally as nice, Chocolate tort and bakewell. Breakfast was amazing, all given a starter of yoghurt cheese and muffin. Ww had the smoked haddock omelette again absolutely delicious. Service throughout was friendly and attentive. Our room was quiet and warm, very comfortable bed, small bathroom. We will definitely be back

What a lovely stay I had here. It's peaceful and quiet. You have deer walking in the field right next to you. There's little squirrels running around on the grass and I even saw a hare do a dash across the lawn. The little cottage was warm and cozy with all the appliances you could wish for. The washer and dryer was a life saver.Safety: Even though it's off the beaten track it's really not that far away from everything and I felt perfectly safe being there on my own. I even went for a walk along the farm road to stretch my legs.

Everything here shouts five stars. The people which work here are fantastic, and they give off a vibe which most five star hotels can't even give you. They don't treat you as a customer, but as a friend. Nothing is too much for these people to give, and they make you feel like you fit into their local community. Breakfast is fantastic.. and I will be honest, I'm funny when it comes to beer, but their own brand is really nice. If you ever do consider a hotel, then this should be number one on your list.

We booked one of the dog friendly rooms which are outside the main building, it was starting to look a bit tired. When I booked online there was no obvious sign that there would be an extra charge for the dogs so I was surprised to be charged an additional £40 for the

Visited this pub early evening for an anniversary meal. Pub was very quiet at 6pm so lacked a little atmosphere but the food was lovely. The staff were young and attentive and it felt like they were a real team. The menu is really interesting, and much better than the usual pub, although the price of the meal does reflect this. If you love good food this place is definitely worth a visit.

Nestled in the charming village of Upton Magna is The Haughmond Inn plus bakery plus coffee shop. What a treasure this place is; friendly, welcoming owner and staff, clean well kept rooms, good food including the fabulous bakery bread, cakes and pies. Breakfast was an absolute highlight, served in the restaurant. Original and inspirational food. We stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms and it was great. We never once felt we were given an inferior room or table in the restaurant (unlike other places where we have stayed with our dog). Three cheers and thank you to the whole team!

Our party of 6 dined in the restaurant on both nights of our stay and loved everything. The Haughmond's reputation for top quality delicious food is thoroughly deserved. Compliments to the chef(s)! A special mention for Sam, front of house, for his friendly, relaxed, professional service and Annette, who served the lovely breakfasts with a smile.

My wife and I had a superb meal at this delightful restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and was designed to bring out the best flavours. The staff were charming and helpful and explained each dish. The chef used top quality ingredients, and everybody was very accommodating to our special dietary requirements. Altogether, outstanding in every respect.

Dinner, bed and breakfast were all superb - we felt like we won the lottery having simply searched for a pet-friendly place to break our journey. This turned out to be the best meal we’ve had for ages; the breakfast was equally good and we had 2 lovely walks in fields and woods nearby. Young, competent staff impressed us no end too.

The food was nice enough. However, portion sizes are not very generous. I did not feel particularly full after the three course meal I had. I would therefore recommend ordering side dishes in addition to the main course if you have a hearty appetite.

We came with a friend who has recently been extremely unwell and has a small appetite, I have had stomach surgery so can only eat very small portions. It was no problem for me and my friend to order a starter as a main served when my husband had is main. We were so impressed with the presentation of the food, but even more saw with the amount of flavour packed into a small dish. We will definitely be back.
