Really lovely pub with a welcoming bar area, with leather chairs. Dogs welcome in the bar area. We’d booked a table for 4. Our friend phoned ahead to check they had bottled coke, which they got in especially- nice touch. Service was great - food was also brilliant. Beef and blue cheese pie, Much Wenlock pork and sea bass. Will be back.

Four of us went for Sunday lunch. The portions were very small I had soup in the smallest bowl I had seen it was just a bit bigger than a ramekin. The bread roll was so hot it burnt my fingerThere were 2 pieces of thin beef. Very dry Yorkshires. Fish pie just cod and 2 prawns again very small portion. Vegetables came again small portion. Good job only 3 of us ate vegetables. £174.00 and only two of us had alcohol. Excellent service but expensive for lunch with small portions.

Excellent from start to finnish yet again. All staff amazing, very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu, chef Jake obviously goes into great detail with the waiting staff about his menu. The food was marvellous, we all enjoyed it very much ad usual. I'm ready for another visit already ?

Service was first class, all staff couldn't do enough for us starting with the bar service of Butty bach beer and Morretti lager, gin and tonic and lime and soda. We ordered, with the help of the maitre de, Broccoli and Stilton soup, beef wellington and steak pie. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Absolutely amazing food , the sea bass and prawns , well let’s just say the flavours and presentation were out of this world, the cheese cake and ice cream was seriously the best I’ve ever had , and I love my cheese cake , flavours and presentation yet again out of this world, even had a candle on top as it was my birthday yesterday , will definitely be returning
