Lovely pub, very impressed by the Sunday roasts which were high quality and with great portions. Unusually good.

Title: Exquisite Sunday Roast Experience at The New Inn CrossRating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a delightful Sunday roast at The New Inn Cross, and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. From the warm and inviting ambiance of the pub to the mouthwatering dishes served, every aspect of my visit exceeded my expectations. The roast itself was a culinary masterpiece - the perfectly cooked meats were succulent and flavorful, accompanied by a generous selection of seasonal vegetables that were cooked to perfection. The crispy roast potatoes and fluffy Yorkshire pudding were the cherry on top of this delectable meal. What truly stood out to me was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. The cozy atmosphere of the pub added to the overall charm of the meal, making it a truly memorable Sunday afternoon.I highly recommend The New Inn Cross for anyone looking to enjoy a traditional Sunday roast in a welcoming and cozy setting. Whether you're a local looking for a new favorite spot or a visitor passing through, this pub is a must-visit for food enthusiasts and casual diners alike. I cannot wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience.

We stayed locally to the New Inn. The atmosphere was great on our visit . We ate there both nights as the food was great on the first visit . The second we had the roast, it was unbelievable the best we have had in any pub. Very highly recommend! A good choice of ales and other drinks . Will definitely go back when in the area .

Great Sunday lunch and beer!

Hi, we went to this restraunt on a Sunday and was expecting a nice roast dinner. We went around 5pm and HAD RAN OUT. This was really upsetting for us. We then ordered some drinks and they had no glasses that were washed so the bar tender had to go wash some up. I then received my drink and it was bassically half full. I personally think that it is very expensive for what it was. My burger was 15 quid and has to wait 30minutes for it. It was a medium burger with around 6 chips. I’m not being a Karen I’m just being honest. I don’t think I will be returning

Great place. A template for how a pub should be run.

Only had a simple Ham, Egg and chips myself, but the salad garnish was practically a meal in itself. Excellent food and a very friendly welcome.

The New Inn at Cross is another locally visited pub. There is a good range of drinks to choose from and it is also popular with walkers stopping off along the West Mendip Way.The food here is average to be honest. I've eaten here a few times and I'm never disappointed, but not wowed either. Its value for money though.Kid friendly play area is available putside.Parking: Plenty of room in the car park opposite and a good area of free road parking too.
