What a great place: a real feel good restaurant. The £35 3 course lunch menu is good value, with an excellent choice of terrific dishes. Probably the best Sea Bass I had all year. Desserts were fabulous and served in generous portions. Great service, lovely atmosphere. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Clayton’s Kitchen is the best restaurant in Bath. Every single time I go, I love the food! The menu is small, but everything is exceptional. My partner and I came for my birthday and we loved every single dish. The flavours were amazing, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. Staff are really friendly and although food is pricey it is absolutely worth every penny. My partner has already chosen to go there for his birthday in June.

Visiting Bath, went here for dinner having read the reviews on Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. Best meal I've had in a long time. Each course was delicious. My crab starter and duck main was cooked to perfection. My wife's fish equally so. Drinks fairly priced and the staff very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone. The true test of a restaurant is when you sit back at the end and say well, that was great I really enjoyed it. - and we did! When next in Bath will go again.

We were in Bath for a special break, so were looking for a special restaurant and we found it in Clayton's. Wonderful service and we loved how the restaurant was divided into 4 distinct areas. We were by the bar downstairs which was beautiful with a great atmosphere. Food was outstanding and I particularly appreciated having being able to have a vegetarian starter as a main instead of ghe obligatory risotto. Highly recommended.

We came here as a dinner choice to celebrate a milestone birthday gathering with about 30 of us in total. The food was great and well prepared and clearly cooked by chefs as opposed to cooks …the staff were lovely and very attentive. In all the ambience and hospitality on offer made the evening go very well indeed . Thank you ?
Slick, professional service. The food was outstanding- delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Clean plates all round! My wife had crispy goats cheese to start which was highly recommended. I thoroughly enjoyed the crab.The main course duck and beef fillet were cooked to perfection. Having toured the south of France this summer and eaten innumerable mediocre and expensive meals , we should be more confident in the UK about the standard of cooking. Clayton’s kitchen is a high quality establishment. You’d have to go a long way to have a better meal.

Fantastic from start to finish. Lovely attentive team, nice ambience that was relaxed and inviting. Fantastic food and wine - we went for scallops, roast duck and rump of beef followed by a great sticky toffee pudding. Great evening for a first visit to Bath, you won’t find better food.

We were at a wine tasting held in the cellar function room downstairs. The food was as outstanding, some of the best we have had in Bath, and as local foodies, we have eaten in many restaurants. It was particularly impressive to enjoy such precision cooking that was being served to a large number of people.

Superb quality and great tasting; the portions were ample too.The staff are super friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is cosy, yet modern.
