Lovely menu, courses are just the right size for 9 without being too full. Great service. Definitely worth the star!Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible

My husband and I were fortunate enough to visit the Olive Tree for the 9 course tasting menu. If there were six stars for food and service I would give them! This was the most amazing food we had ever experienced. Teaming with flavours and textures that we had never experienced. I particularly enjoyed the langoustine course, and my husband the fallow deer and beetroot. We loved the tonka bean parfait for desert. The staff looked after us very well and we enjoyed a cocktail at the upstairs bar before our meal. Mine was non Alcoholic as I’m pregnant, but it was still beautiful. We will never forget this meal, and would recommend this special place very highly.

A really amazing night. Service impeccable and friendly. Restaurant could be a bit cosier...food is awesome. Had the "nine" tasting menu. Many 10 out 10 dishes....especially the deer, the spelt and the chocolate dessert. Would have given full marks for the food had it not been that some dishes were underseasoned (trout especially). But this place is brilliant and well priced for a Michelin star venue.

Another thoroughly enjoyable visit the Olive Tree. We think we have visited the hotel 18 times now , which must include more than 10 trips down the stairs to the restaurant. The excellent front of house team is led by the charming Aisling Bury who conducts the orchestra superbly; I had the 9 course menu and my wife had the 6, both with wine pairing (strongly recommended) and the 2 knitted together perfectly and it didn’t feel like there were gaps for her. Again, we got to meet the outstanding chef Chris Cleghorn at the end. We are always excited to see the seasonal evolution of dishes and the little tweaks made to those that have been on the menu for some time - beautifully crafted. We just love it.

This was one of the best meals we have had. Fine dining but with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff were all wonderful and we had the pleasure of meeting Chris Cleghorn and his team after dinner. We had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The sommerlier’s choices were perfectly matched to the menu. I couldn’t recommend the Olive Tree more highly.

We had gone to the Olive tree for our wedding anniversary dinner. They had a proper vegetarian Course Menu. Also certain vegetables, cheese and eggs my husband does not consume, they made the changes for my husband. I chose a 6 course menu and my husband chose a 4 course menu. Apart from the 6 course menu, they also gave a ''start'', ''bread'' and ''Finish''. I liked most of the dishes. The only two dishes I did not like or found they were ok: a) The ''start'', which was aubergine. I wish the chef changes the ''aubergine'' and uses a different vegetable. b) Found the final dessert, the pineapple tonka parfait, was ok. Did not like the taste as much. The dishes which I LOVED and really stood out for me: a) The Jerusalem Artichoke b) The Islands Chocolate. c) My husband LOVED ''Sharpham Park Farm Spelt''. All the staff were very efficient and knew all the details of the dishes well. Just my personal opinion: I wish the staff who were chefs (no idea which position in the kitchen), could speak slower when explaining all the dishes, and can smile. They felt a little cold in their approach. Never asked if we liked the dish or even waited for a second after telling us all the dish details. Very poker face they had all the time.

Went for dinner and did the Nine tasting menu. Absolutely wonderful - each dish was bold, playful and had an experimental touch to the flavours and ingredients.Lovely staff and nice decor to the place too!

Really great cozy restaurant in Bath with great tastes. The sweetbread and the islands chocolate with olive oil were amazing. Sommelier Ashley is a delightful person making the whole experience better. Definitely recommend it.

An exceptional evening spent here celebrating our marriage. Andreas was an excellent host who was very knowledgable and provided a perfect ambience to the evening. The food was exceptional, wine pairings were perfectly matched. Would highly recommend this place to others looking for fine dining in Bath.

Best food we have ever had. Every course was incredible inclusive of the wine pairing which was truly inspired. We have been to Michelin starred restaurants before but this place was great. Can’t wait to come back.

After several visits to the Olive Tree over the years I was left extremely disappointed after my recent visit, concluding that this restaurant does not deserve to retain its Michelin star unless it does a complete overhaul of its senior front of house. We were left to serve our own wine when our female server/sommelier vacated the dining room for a length of time and the male serving the other room watched us serve and didn’t even think to step in. It is a great shame as the food and chefs serving were amazing but their senior wait staff completely tainted the evening. On a side note the female toilets had run out of hand towels on the first visit and on the second visit still hadn’t been replenished with nothing to dry your hands with. When you’re paying £200+ per head (we decided to pay the service charge purely for the kitchen’s sake) you expect a much higher standard of service and I won’t be dining at Olive Tree again.

I can only conclude that the wait staff didn’t receive the bonus they were hoping for as the service was very poor. I have been to the olive tree several times and had the best experience. Sadly tonight was very disappointing, the food was excellent, the chefs who serve the food lovely but the main staff we engaged with were poor. We had to get up to find our wine and served it ourselves; not what I expect from a Michelin restaurant.

What a remarkable and totally memorable lunch we had on Saturday at the Olive Tree, Bath. We have had this restaurant on our list for a while, and we were definitely not disappointed. We selected 6 plates from the menu (9 in total), being two of each: starter, main, dessert. So delicious was the food that we joked about licking the plates clean, as we didn’t want to miss a single drop of the amazing sauces that accompanied each dish. Each different dish was brought out by a different chef who explained what was being served. We liked that very much. The waiting staff were wonderful, and obviously very well trained. We liked that too. In general, despite paying what we would consider a lot for a meal, it was worth every single penny and we shall definitely be going back. They most certainly deserve their Michelin Star! Treat yourself! Get to lunch at The Olive Tree. You will not be disappointed.
