We enjoyed our food and the experience.

The oldest tea room in Bath. You can eat the typical brioche and have tea. It has different floors and at the bottom you can visit a small exhibition of how brioche was made (you can also buy it to take away).

You really don't have to eat anywhere else in Bath, just go to Sally Lunn's and have what you fancy on an unbelievably light bun.Service is quick and careful. Everything was tasty (recommend salt beef, double bacon, french toast or just butter and jam (blackcurrant obvs))Took some home but eaten them all

I had cream tea, and the tea was really delicious (here's sally lunn tea) and the bread was delicious too!

They are serving food at Sally Lunn's since 1480, there's a little museum in the basement, the service is brilliant and the food delicious ?Parking: We had to find a mall to park as the streets were all full. You need to be lucky to find a place to park on the street.

The dinner entrees were very bland lacking in flavor or spice. The famous bun was simply two slices of white bread toast slathering in melted butter. The bread/bun was highly processed. We ordered a pear/apple crumble for dessert that came with homemade custard. The custard was totally curdled.

We visited this lovely historic place last Saturday. We had arrived in Bath by train to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. We came across the Sally Lunn by chance and queued for a few minutes til opening time at 10.00. We were greeted and taken upstairs to a table for two just to the left of the door. I'm not sure if we were a bit hidden away but we did have to wait a while to be served . Eventually,we ordered two coffees and a bun with lemon curd to share ( as we'd had breakfast on the train earlier) The coffees arrived quite soon - however we then waited 15 - 20 mins for the bun which may only have been served then because my husband asked for it ! When he asked , the waitress served it almost immediately - with no apology and a look which made us feel like we were being difficult! Given that it was a simple order, I'm not sure why it took so long - especially as other guests were served more elaborate buns ! The bun itself and the lemon curd was delicious but it's a shame that we had almost finished our coffees by the time it arrived.Despite that though, it did make a lovely start to our day spent in a beautiful and historic city !

Back in 2002, when I was studying in Bath, I heard about this bakery, but being a broke student at the time, I couldn't bring myself to splurge. This time, revisiting the place with my parents, we simply had to try their famous bread. It's so delicious here, and they have a special offer: buy 3 loaves, get 1 free. We ended up buying 8 boxes. When my parents got home, they devoured 4 loaves the next day. They kept saying, "We should've bought more." It's a shame we're from Canada, as they don't ship this bread there. Otherwise, my parents would definitely have me order it online. LOL.

We came here yesterday and only ordered the dessert for dinner. The bread and butter pudding with clotted cream was lovely but the downfall was the service. When the dessert came the waitress just slammed the plate to our table, while other tables had their food served in a human manner. This has been my second time here as I came 8 years ago early afternoon and to be honestly I still think the service isn't great. For those who are a tourist you are treated very differently.Would I recommend this place well I have to say the buns are fluffy and nice but don't expect the best service. This place is a very tourist place and you will find that it can be very rushed.

I went here because it was recommended to me as a good restaurant, and it was delicious!I heard there's usually a wait, but it rained on the day I went, so I was able to eat right away without waiting. After eating 2/3 of the portion, my stomach exploded and I almost died. The buns were delicious and the sauce and toppings were all delicious. It was good except for having to wait 20 minutes for checkout.
