Excellent bistro away from the crowds of tourists (we were tourists!), excellent choices of eggs on brunch menu. Redbush tea. Toilets. Nice staff, quirky art and spiral staircase. Worth finding off the busy streets.Dietary restrictions: Homemade gf bread is delicious

Literally the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my entire life. Not even joking that Brie and bacon sandwich took me to a different realm. Death row meal hands

Visited in September 2023. 4.5/5.Our experience at SSBD cafe in Bath was a delightful journey of flavors, though accompanied by a slightly snug atmosphere. The breakfast meals were undeniably delicious, showcasing the kitchen’s expertise and commitment to quality ingredients. From classic breakfast staples to inventive twists on traditional dishes, Same Same But Different offered a diverse menu that catered to all tastes. However, while the food was exceptional, the cafe’s space felt a bit cramped and lacked the comfort we were hoping for. Despite this minor drawback, the cozy atmosphere added a certain charm to our dining experience, creating an intimate setting. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.Overall, SSBD is a hidden gem in Bath, offering great breakfast meals in a cozy atmosphere. While it may not be the most spacious or comfortable spot, the delicious food more than makes up for it. We would definitely recommend giving it a try for a flavorful start to your day!

Was looking for a sandwich place, this one stood out because of the name. The beef brisket sandwich was one of the best things I've ever eaten not just one of the best sandwiches, one of the best things period. The brisket was perfectly cooked, the fillings, bread and horseradish cream combined were amazing... The brisket juices had soaked in to parts of the toasted bread to create something quite sublime. The chips, imagine seasoned deep fried roast potato wedges... Fantastic. Very reasonably priced.

Excellent food and cafe beverages. We had Eggs Benedict which were absolutely perfect and the parsnip soup which was also very tasty. Service was attentive.

Went in at 3pm on Sunday, only to be told they were shut, even though in the window and on Google it says they shut at 4pm.

Had a lovely time last Monday, the lady that worked there was super helpful getting us a table with room for a highchair. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Thank you for the lovely lunch.

We had the loveliest time at the cafe today. Was so nice to try an independent place instead of a chain. I had the soup of the day with bread which was perfect for a chilly day! My friend had the French toast which she said was delicious. Plus, the BEST hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Lovely servers, so polite, friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Bath.
