Amazing little place, my boyfriend and I chose this place as it was close to the cinema where we had tickets booked and what a find, lovely, clean place with perfectly battered and cooked fish and chips, service was friendly but not overly friendly and the lager was lovely and cold even from a bottle.We will be back again! Lovely to sit, eat fish and chips and even chat with other customers. Delightful place!!

We visited with my 3 autistic kids for a fish and chips dinner. Luke was brilliant and really made an effort to talk to my children and make them feel comfortable. The food was fresh and delicious. The only slight niggle was the dine in menu was significantly more expensive than the take away menu and I thought a tad overpriced. Other than that couldn’t fault it.

Well cooked fish and chips. The chips were perfectly cooked, and the cod was fresh because you could taste the sea. The proprietor is a hoot. He definitely has the gift of the gab.Highly recommended.

I was going to leave a poor review but I looked at the bigger picture, We dined here on a Saturday during the Christmas Market and when Bath were playing Exeter at rugby so it was overwhelmingly busy.Although the food was not at its best on the day, the staff worked very hard to try and fullfill everybodies needs.When we paid they took time to ask how our food was and even reduced the price for my wife as her fish was not great.But given the circumstances on the day we were happy ?

Food was lovely, and old lady serving was really kind. Although the younger women who served us our food had a horrific attitude towards us as customers and made us transfer our food from sit in to takeaway as wasn’t giving the opportunity to leave them open for takeaway. I think you need to ask your customers if they’d like them open or wrapped instead of assuming and then having terrible attitude when we ask.

Not sure why these days it seems harder to find fish and chips that meet my expectations. 20 years back, any fish and chips in the UK would have made the cut. So I am really glad that I enjoyed the one here in Bath. Staff was really friendly and generous about replacing the mushy green peas that we don't like, with curry sauce instead. Thank you!

Seems to have gone down hill. The cook and the server were both grumpy and not very welcoming. The place is looking very tired inside. Neither the fish nor the chips were cooked to order as stated. The fish was tasteless and certainly didn’t seem to be fresh. The chips were quite soggy. The curry sauce was very thick. £27 for 2 small fish and chips with curry sauce but maybe that’s just modern costs. Been going for years but won’t be going back any time soon.

It’s really a shame that anyone runs a business like this.Sat down for a quick bite before a movie. Had 45 min to order, eat and walk across the street to Odeon. Chef told me he’d “get to me when he gets to me.. could be 10 min or less.” Ok. I sit at a table outside which are full, one table had finished eating, another large table of 8 women had their food delivered.. another two-top who were being ignored, and me. I kid you not, sat there for 20 min and no one came to take my order or the order of the couple beside me. 20 min of sitting there while this guy putters around the kitchen doing nothing that even resembled making food. No server/hostess and he seemed remarkably unconcerned. I left because sorry, life is too short.
