Absolutely gorgeous inside, great atmosphere and the food was great. Highly recommend :)

Service and atmosphere was really good but the food was where it went downhill. The lamb curry was overcooked and chewy and the sauce consisted of a tomato tin with the chunk's still in there which was very bland. As for the chapati never have I seen anywhere offer this to be a chapati it seemed like something you get from a packet.

Went in on a quiet Wednesday night. Lovely people, excellent food and in such a grand room. Had the rezala which is recommended. Will make it a regular.

Although the decor and architecture of this restaurant was gorgeous, the food and service might be the worst I have ever encountered. Not only did it take ages to get our food in an empty restaurant, every dish that our table was sub-par to downright awful. Overall a massive let-down.

Saturday night in Bath and such a disappointment . Restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived but emptied out whilst we were there. Poppadoms came and had the best lime pickle I ve ever eaten. They had run out of onion bhaji so didn't order starters due to limited veggie choice. It then took well over 30mins for our mains. No food appeared to be coming out of the kitchen in that time but the drinks did ! When mains arrived the veg madras had zero taste I've never had a madras like it ...full of grease/soapy consistency with broccoli , cabbage and zero potatoes and just hot (I don't mind hot but it was bland and no flavour ) . My husband s was good but there was no check in if the food was ok and by the time someone wandered over (they were more interested in serving beers ) my husband had eaten all of his. I complained and refused to pay for that and the non eaten naan. I was offered a pudding and I said I've not eaten anything ...why would I have a pudding!?!Not gonna go back. Shocking service all round.Vegetarian options: Bland flavour to the veggie curry and cheap vegetables used

Joint worst Indian restaurant I have been to.Was really looking forward to it but from the very get go it wasn't great, placed a booking which they didn't appear to be aware of however had plenty of free tables.Poppadoms and drinks order was taken swiftly and all was good. We then had an uncomfortably long wait before our order was taken which can be understandable if they were very busy but they weren't and there was plenty of standing around. It was eventually taken and starter arrived in reasonable time. The starters were okay but nothing to write home about, not over cooked but a little slimey. It was after this it went really down hill when we had to wait over an hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive. During this time we had a waiter come to our table once to ask for more drinks and when asking about the food he said he will check but failed to do so and instead went to do drinks for another table. After being there for over 2 hours food finally arrived but the evening was not redeemed. Rice order was messed up and 2 rice's weren't delivered, when mentioned the waiter went and grabbed one of the wrong types of rice and smoked it on the table before disappearing again. The dishes themselves did not reflect pictures others have shown, the 4 pieces of chicken I received sat about the sauce in the dish and for a £12.50 dish the quantity was concerning. Another form my group received less prices than the chicken takeaway starter. Meals were also laden with oil and the taste was distinctly average. The bill came wrong due to us not receiving the food we ordered and they still tried to bill for it. When questioned about the rice and how long the wait was they correct the price and removed £10 from the bill which was pretty poor considering there was a service charge of nearly double that so they still collected a tip despite an atrocious service.

Good curry from a reasonably sized menu. Paid with cash as we weren't sure if card was available.

Rogan Josh was very salty! Service could have been better, we asked for glasses multiple times and fresh water but they never arrived.Changed review to 1 star after noticing they overcharged us on the bill! Never again. Avoid.

Very central in Bath so easy to find. On our visit it had (clearly) just been renamed 'Pearl of India'. They also would only accept cash, a situation that we were advised was only temporary. The room where we ate was well worth seeing, large and quite a sight. The service was good and for standard Indian fare, the food was OK. My prawn puree starter in particular was very tasty. We told the staff serving we were not in a hurry so please could we have a rest between courses but unfortunately as they took our starter plates away they immediately served our mains. So, even with the restaurant not being crazy busy, we were in and out very quickly. I toyed with my rating as I wouldn't tell anyone not to go. The food was 'fine' and as standard as all run of the mill Indian restaurants. So i'm certainly not saying "don't go". But I couldn't give it a 4 out of 5 I'm afraid.

I did the chicken tikka taka tak off their signature menu and enjoyed it. It was pretty empty the day I was there, which was odd to me because I had read about it as a best place to go online. I paid cash as they’re not accepting credit cards at this time. It think it’s transferring names and/or ownership.

I had the mixed grill which contained an assortment of bland lukewarm overcooked dry meats. Clearly everything had been cooked beforehand and pre-heated. The lamb was so tough I had trouble cutting it with a knife. The restaurant does not accept credit cards and only accepts cash or bank transfers. One of the worst curries I have had in years.

On a visit from NZ and popped in for lunch and had an amazing meal. We were made so welcome by the friendly staff. We enjoyed a lamb biryani, chicken balti and prawn balti. The meat was so tender, it could be cut with a spoon! The staff were genuinely interested in our well-being and the food was extremely high-quality. Excellent authentic Indian cuisine. 10 out of 10.

Great tasting food, beautiful. If you enjoy Indian food, this is the best restaurant you will eat at in Bath. They accomadated also for my partners' vegetarian dinner request. Excellent service, polite...100% :)
