4 years ago. Friendly pub with quick service and great beers.Today: I just paid £6.90 for a pint of Moretti. Popped in for a couple of pints (should be about 10-11 total). Walked out after 1. Not a win-win.Sad. Will remove it from my Bath guests recommended now.

We enjoyed our meal here. The staff were great and food was tasty. I enjoyed the hanger steak.

One of my favourite places to eat, staff are always so lovely and tonight Jordan served us and was just a delight. Food was gorgeous, atmosphere was lovely and dog friendly too. Food is always very quick. All the meals I’ve had are delightful, love all the starters too. Lovely cosy British pub. 10/10

I went to the steak night with my girlfriend and enjoyed everything. Great food and drink with friendly faces serving too. I’d recommend the steak night if you’re looking for a great steak for a great price.

Not welcoming at all! Only low point of a rather enjoyable trip to Bath.

Worst fish and chips I've ever eaten, I did not know a meal could be so bland. I'll admit the mushy peas, tartare sauce and creme brulee were good but I was shocked by the quality of the fish and chips.

Met for a family Sunday lunch and loved the food and the feel of the place. Good veggie options (nut roast or sweet potato and mushroom wellington) to go with the roast, which was beautifully cooked and good portion size. Friendly and efficient service. Gem real ale on tap.Vegetarian options: Good choices of veggie options to go wit the roastParking: Street parking nearby tricky .... but better than many options in the city centre - best go to Charlotte Street car park just 10 mins walk down the hill.

We came last weekend and had a great time. We ordered some of the small plates and a couple bottles of wine. The food was good and their beer garden is lovely.I am however slightly irked that I paid for service charge.I ordered our first drinks at the bar and was told I had to return to make a food order. This was no problem.I returned to the bar. After ordering our food, I was provided with some cutlery at the bar and so I set our table. That was absolutely fine. Our food was good and it arrived promptly. I would note that no one came to check in on us after the food had arrived. We had empty plates stacked on our table for some time after we finished. The pub wasn’t particularly busy. To be honest, I’m not too fussed about any of it but I feel these are the most basic steps in service.I returned to the bar to order a second order of drinks and food. Our first drinks were never cleared. Doesn’t bother me.Neither of the two members of staff I interacted with made much of an effort to pretend like they were welcoming. That’s okay, I don’t take it personally.I returned to the bar. I asked for the bill, which included the service, around 100£, and I felt uncomfortable asking them to remove the service. Tronc is not an insignificant part of someone’s paycheck. I work in a pub.As a business, if you don’t do the bare minimum, you have no right to charge service. You’ll say it’s discretionary, I know, but if you were more honest you’d never have added onto our bill in the first place.

One of the best Sunday roast I have ever had in my 7 years in the UK. The pork was just perfect, tender and Juicy. Great Yorkshire pudding.
