The 'sizzling' halloumi fajitas were cold. The peas were disgusting and didnt taste of anything. We were not told what wasn't on the menu so all of our inital order was not available. (Salmon, chicken burger and another chicken dish). The atmosphere was dull. There was only one staff member on the bar who was rushed off her feet. Credit to her she was Lovely. Food took about 40 minutes to arrive.Overall a terrible experience and I won't be returning.

Just enjoyed a fabulous boxing day meal with 30 family members. Chef Mike and all his colleagues did a fantastic job. Food, service and staff were all excellent. Thankyou so much for a wonderful afternoon, was much appreciated. ❤Kid-friendliness: Kids were served first which was really appreciated as we had lots of them xWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room, lovely disabled toilet

Although I booked for 7pm it was after 8 before we received our meal, due to a very large Christmas party which I understand made it difficult for the chef(apparently the other chef was ill as well) Food was fine. Staff apologised and offered a free drink. However it might have been a good idea to ring and say there would be a delay. Something to remember. I understand it must be horrendous trying to get and keep staff. Just a thought

Disgusting and discriminatory. Avoid. Would give 0 stars if possible.I was here as part of a wheelchair basketball team Christmas meal. It was booked in advance and they knew the majority of us would be in chairs on the day with only a handful of able bodied people there. When we arrived, there was a lot of confusion on the table. It seems that another party was seated at our table and there was no other suitable place for us to sit. There was also mention of the toilets being unsuitable. After around 20mins of the coach trying to sort the situation he came back saying that we had to leave. This was awful and highly discriminatory practise. They knew our needs, arrival time and party size far in advance and yet they still blocked us out. We were crowded around the bar blocking up the building with all our chairs whilst the situation was attempted to be resolved. In the end we went back to the leisure centre and ordered food in as this was the only "accessible" food location for miles.Other people in the building at the time were so shocked at our treatment that we heard them talking about how awful it was as we were leaving and several told us that they will also be posting a scathing review over the next few days, so expect a lot more of these to pop up over the next month. We are all disgusted and telling everyone we know to avoid at all costs. They do not deserve to be open.Parking: Large spaces, a few disabled spots and plenty of room in the car parkWheelchair accessibility: It is possible, but do not put yourself through the heartache of being discriminated against. After attending a family funeral at Haycombe cemetery, 11 of our family stopped for lunch. It was quite busy with local's but the staff put a number of tables together so we could all sit together. The drinks and food followed very shortly. The food was excellent and heart warming comfort food. The staff were really friendly and throughout the service was excellent. Thank you all. I would recommend the food, drinks as not only very good value for money, but also very tasty. Thank You everyone at the Red Lion.

So much fun!! We visited as a group and the new male and female managers are so much fun had such a laugh with them (leanne , bradley) really turned the place around. Had a 3 course festive menu for £15.99! Bargain price all beautifully cooked for so many of us and lots of beautiful cocktails flowing. It's changed so much there we couldn't of been more welcome. I haven't been in a few years despite it being my local but will definitely be returning I've giggled and danced and had the best time! Thanks all you've excelled yourselves merry Christmas xx

Came for a group dinner, the strater was acceptable but the main was owful. Dry and cold mash potato with the piece of salmon which looked like cooked in microwave, flat broccoli steam on top and overcooked sauce with the dry top. It looked and smelled disgusting.Same for other 4 people who ordered it. Returned to the kitchen, freshly baked salmon and chips offered instead, but the overall service was really bad all over the evening.Place worn and dirty cutlery - not recommended at all.

Staff need some training ASAP. We were told only after ordering our food that it was a 40minute wait. We let the staff know I was gluten free, having checked online what I could eat (which is a disappointing faff in itself, staff should be able to suggest at least one or two things on the menu), my meal came out with onion rings on top - ok, I'm not celiac, not a huge issue, but we overheard kitchen staff expressing surprise that onion rings contain gluten. Sauces arrived randomly throughout the meal (my sibling was done eating when theirs arrived so pointless by then) and despite the kitchen being 3 feet away they couldn't remember which was which (one was GF and one wasn't).When ordering drinks we were asked if a slice of lemon was okay because i'm gluten free. These are seriously scary things for people working in the food industry to not know. My friend's food didn't turn up until we reminded staff and there was no apology. In all, I wouldn't go back. Train your staff properly!

Had lunch here with family. No delays in ordering, our server was Beth, she was very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Our food arrived very quickly despite being quite busy, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely visit again.
