Top rating of 2/30 on TripAdvisor brought us here. Despite the super waterfront location our breakfast was very good. Something a little different with a healthy guacamole, perfectly cooked poached eggs and spinach on toasted tiger bread with a hint of hot sauce. Bright interior with wide windows to capture the view and large terrace. Special lunch, or using their medieval definition "luncheon" looks good. Very happy to pay the presumptuous service charge. ????

The food and service here are simply stunning. I have been 3 times with different friends and family in the last month for lunch. Exciting menu which changes and keeps interest. Staff are friendly and helpful. I have come away every time wanting to return to experience this quality of food.

Another fantastic trip to No 5 for a birthday brunch. Food as good as ever and service excellent and so smoothly run, thanks.

Great for afternoon tea. Fully recommended. Always very friendly staff. Used to go regularly for breakfast on weekends but the standard has dropped & the menua isnt as good. For example, saying on the menu a veggie breakfast comes with avocado and then serving a dollop of guacamole is just annoying & disgusting. Its not the same thing, doesn't match the flavours & just feels cheap.

We were lucky to walk in and find an outside table free for a cream tea early afternoon. The cream tea includes two (fruit) scones, generous clotted cream portion and jam. We had tea in a proper pot with a cosy and tea strainer included and then added a coffee. All was enjoyed in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Staff were efficient but did not hurry us. I suggest sharing a cream tea as the portions are generous!

Not the best weather for a July summers day in the U.K. However, a family table inside was found thanks to the amazing staff who were attentive and genuinely nice people. I always find the specials board a magnet for choice and it was both varied and interesting. It covered a variety of tastes without complication, my coffee was hot and just how I like it not too intense and something to savor, not unlike my chosen main course, wonderfully cooked fresh mackerel fillets with large hand made croutons and an amazing crème with a shaving of horseradish over a wilted spinach. Portions were generous both for my meal and my wide and daughters, they were particularly impressed with the homemade cakes on offer. There a a number of establishments along the promenade but this one stands out for service and an exceptionally fresh and interesting lunch offering . Full marks from me A+++++

Nice location but totally understaffed with long waits and service charge added to the bill automatically even for just 2 people.

Wonderful place on a sunny day (and rainy days too! ) - really friendly and efficient service: our crusty roll sandwiches were excellent. Lovely views across the water and across to the marine lake. Top spot!

What a place! Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, lovely coffee and Gorgeous cake. Almost tempted by the food when i saw multiple plates pass my table, But i resisted. We stopped off after a long walk and would highly recommend. No wonder this place is #1 on Tripadvisor. Will go again.

I had attended this restaurant on 3 occasions now and each time I have left saying I will avoid it next time due to the way we were made to feel unwelcome. We were 10 minutes late so told to order immediately as the breakfast had finished it was 1040 and breakfast finishes at 11. We were told we could not open a birthday cake unless we paid a corkage fee on it because they served cake. £3 slices of cake when our overall breakfast bills was over £80. We then waited 40 minutes for our orders. I must say that the food was wonderful. So 5 star for taste. Had to ask for the bill 3 times to very rude members of staff. We have been before on various occasions and the attitude is always the same. Rude to the point they are letting you know who is in charge. I will avoid this place I can future and to be honest I had tried to get a table at all other local places prior to booking here. Shame they for full. So thank you for an unwelcoming birthday brunch. Im guessing this review will be met with an unapologetic 'reasons for the rudeness' reply as per all other negative reviews.

Went here for breakfast with a friend who lives locally - very busy, but staff are organised. you need to book at the weekend if you are depending on its - had a full English, which was very good.

Fabulous breakfast, excellent tea, great friendly service, lovely to sit and watch the sea. Nice facilities inside and out, nothing was too much trouble and all done with good cheer, positivity and a smile. Would definitely return and recommend the full English (though the black pudding was an acquired taste it was certainly worth a try.) Many thanks.

We drove out from Bristol to Clevedon to have lunch here on the basis of the excellent reviews we'd read - and we weren't disappointed! Rapid and friendly service, a buzzy atmosphere even on a Monday lunchtime, and brilliant food! I had spaghetti with avocado and delicious crispy halloumi, my husband had a great dish of sticky ginger chicken, both excellent and very generous. We'll definitely visit again.

Just had a wonderful lunch at Five the Beach . We had a chicken baguette and ham hock terrine followed by a huge ice cream sundae . Both were delicious . I would recommend this venue to anyone.
