First time visit and very impressed, it is very quite being just after new year which is great for my dog's first holiday (was worried she might get worried by too many strange noises). Staff helpful and friendly, room was much bigger than I was expecting and really lovely. Breakfast was good quality and filling. Location is really something with a sea facing room. Will be back.

Where can I start. This is a very traditional hotel that has not changed as the world around it has. Unfortunately what was aceptable in 1975 is not up to standard in 2024. Unpleasant cooking smells from the kitchen permeated the floor of our room leaving everything including the bathroom towels with an odour of congealed fat. There was mold on the ceilings of the bathroom and bedroom. We went downstairs to have breakfast at 9:15 and were told that they had stopped serving. Also you have be out of the room by 11 which is very early especially if you have to go outside of the hotel to have breakfast. Maybe some of this would be reasonable if the hotel was cheaper than other hotels in the area but this is not the case, we paid 90 pounds for one night in January! The worst hotel experience we have had in a long time.

Mooi rustiek hotel. Ontspannen sfeer en vriendelijk personeel. Mooie ruime kamers en prima sanitaire voorzieningen.Rooms: Mooi ruim en prima bedden.Food & drinks: Nette menukaart met goed eten. Eten is goed en word snel geserveerd.Ruime keuze in diverse dranken.

Start to finish and the day after if you are thinking of getting married hear truly recommended this lovely old building with the staff and the organisation of the day second to none.

The bedrooms are in need of an update. It was a windy night and the windows rattled all night. The room was cold as the radiators were very old, I asked for a heater and the receiptionest brought one to my room. Staff and food is amazing. Beautiful location.

Hillside views over the coast & large size rooms. Very reasonably priced with easy walking to the harbour bars and restaurants.

The room I stayed in was excellent. The view over the estuary was brilliant and it was great to see several weather fronts roll in from Wales on the opposite side. The breakfast was adequate and better than a previous BW I’ve stayed at recently as they actually offer a cooked breakfast which will be played or buffet depending on the number of other guests. The location is about 10 min walk to the seafront and town centre. The carpark can be a bit tight and I had some trouble with my car since it’s quite long and the spaces between the rows limited.Overall, it’s a good stay if you’re in the area.

This hotel has good views and is in a convenient location if you want to see Clevedon. It is quite dated in many ways but the staff worked hard to help guests. On our last night we tried to have a quiet drink in the lounge but it seemed to have been taken over by a local resident’s association meeting which meant there was nowhere for hotel guests to relax (and spend more money!). Very strange as the hotel had lots of meeting rooms that could have been used. Overall we only stayed there for the location and views.

I had a room for the night before a wedding at another local venue. Room was comfortable but a little tired. The bathroom had damp on the high ceiling and the toilet roll holder has been broken off the wall previously and moved to almost behind which isn't the most user friendly. Needs some investment to tidy up the rooms and make them more visually appealing. Location is fantastic though and the view across the Bristol channel is lovely.

Very nice hotel position is superb, all staff polite and professional. We only had breakfast which was perfect, our room was spacious and spotless.Has a beautiful wedding venue with private veranda. My only negative was the tired tables in the restaurant.

Fantastic location and views, staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely building exterior, however, asides from being very dated as slightly anticipated, it was very tired and worn inside. My ensuite bathroom had clearly suffered ongoing leaks with bubbling layers paint and stains. Unfortunately I had to share the bathroom with 4 woodlice that appeared through the night/morning as well as another on the carpet in my bedroom, which was quite disconcerting. The hotel was probably amazing in its time, but needs urgent investment and refurbishment.Walkability: Very close to the shops, just a 5-10min walk.

I only used restaurant and bar. Food is very good. Bar prices are very expensive. It is impossible to get a mobile phone signal in the location. The staff are very polite and helpful.

A sticking door to a room that has seen better days, poor internal signage necessitating using the outside footpath to get to the terrace for a drink. Informed 1 week before arrival of the need to book for dinner although no tables available in the restaurant after 6:30pm. Reserved a table in the Bistro/bar for 6:00pm and were ignored for 15 minutes by the man serving the adjacent table and the 2 females behind the bar. We left as it did not seem likely that we would be served and cut our losses by returning home. We stayed in this hotel for only 3 hours but unsurprisingly they have made no attempt to discover why we did not have dinner, breakfast or sleep in our room.

Dated rooms, too hot and humid with no fans in rooms. Showers dated on top floor. Bedding very thick. However the location and service by staff keep this place a very well placed and slightly better than average
