Advertised as open for food on a Monday. We were looking for somewhere to eat on the way down to Cornwall on M5. Got there and it said closed for food on a Monday. Please update your website

Went here today for Sunday lunch. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our seats where we looked at the menu and gave our order. The food arrived consisting of swede, carrot, parsnip, 2 LARGE roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding with stuffing and VERY watery gravy. The cauliflower cheese arrived on a separate dish. The meat was cut wafer tin and I was unable to tell the difference between the beef and lamb. The food was not very warm and was delivered on cold plates. As there were only 2 other tables booked in both bars, I can only assume that word has spread about the food.

We sat outside and enjoyed a pint taking in the surrounding countryside and sunshine and had a lovely time. Very peaceful. We had Thatchers Haze, which was delicious!

Landlady very rude because one meal came totally inedible.also admitted that x3 steaks were put on the wrong plates ( deliberately done as no one said anything.) Been there a few times before no problem at all with the last landlady.will never go back there again whilst that landlady is still there in place.

Spent a while looking for a nice place to eat and we are glad we came here. The Sunday roasts really hit the spot and I can't say enough how friendly the staff are. Great little place to chill out on a Sunday afternoon.
