We have Sunday roast, to take away,a few times a month. Huge portions, several types of vegetables. You take your own plates, so it's all plated up for you. Staff friendly and helpful.Highly recommend.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, last one as it is closing after today. What a shame as its a lovely pub with great food. Covid strikes again.

We just had an amazing Sunday lunch at this lovely restaurant and the food and service were amazing. It was actually a belated Christmas lunch they had put on as lots of people missed celebrating with family in December. We had a brilliant time with our parents and the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was great. We will be back for one of their other themed evenings such as steak night ?

Travelling up the M5 and not wanting to eat at services, we chanced it on this stretch of the A38 and found the White Cottage which fully met our needs for an inexpensive meal. Service was very friendly and the food was hot, well produced with large portions. Can recommend the home made faggots.

Quality service and food. Thank you so much.I was impressed by the determination of the host to keep his business running (by supplying take aways), despite the lockdown. I highly recommend anyone reading this to support this friendly and quality pub restaurant, to help them survive. They really deserve the chance to enjoy success in their business when this is all over.

We have eaten in White Cottage many times fit weekday lunch, evening meal and Sunday lunch. Always a fantastic meal. Excellent value and huge portions. Our friends have also asked us to post that they had a beautiful lunch a couple of days ago. We will continue to use the White Cottage so keep up the good work Roger.

Had a wonderful lunch here on Tuesday. Food served piping hot and cooked to perfection. Nothing too much trouble for the owner and very helpfulTables very well spaced for social distancing and everything in order for tracing etc.A very friendly atmosphere and food cooked and presented to a high standard we'll worth a visit to support new owner in these trying times.

My husband and I arrived about 20 minutes before opening time, the owner was kind enough to open early and let us in. The food was delicious and my husband’s steak cooked to perfection. The service we got was excellent and food was not over priced. We will definitely be back.

SEPTEMBER 27TH 2020 - AVOID the White Cottage!!!PMd them earlier to confirm their closing time on a Sunday.I had the reply - 4pmSo we got there at 1.45pm, ordered drinks (no draught beers etc available) and a starter each.Half way through our starter, we were asked "could you order your main courses to go".After the shock, we said No and Why? - We are ready to close the kitchen.Feeling unwelcome, we asked for the bill. The owner/chef came out "I hear you wanna speak to me" - we hadnt asked for him.Anyway we explained that we had only just got our starters (2pm) and wanted a leisurely sunday lunch - to go with the bottle of wine and drinks ordered. He replied "everyone orders main courses at the same time as starters and im ready to close the kitchen (at 2pm for a 4pm stated closure) ".The guy was a disgrace and I predict the place will be closed by November.DO NOT pre pay for Christmas lunches etc as he wont be there!!!We are now sat waiting for the bus back to Burnham (my wife holding her nearly full bottle of wine) and £12 wasted on bus fare. What a joke - we certainly won't be going back.

we booked a room in the white cottage to hold a wake after my mums funeral. The owners were very good and accommodated our needs. The food was fresh and plentiful and as much as we wanted. All social distancing was in place and table service was provided. I highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again. Thank you all.
