Second visit to The Rusty Axe Inn. A lovely local pub in a great location. We didn't eat but alcohol prices are on the cheaper side for the area and the bar service superb. Really nice pub to sit in and a better beer garden for the summer.

Went this lunchtime, served a £4.80 pint of Ruddles by a miserable dragon behind the bar. Enquired if I could possibly get Sunday lunch, the answer was simply "NO".Been here before and the food and service were exceptional but given today's experience, I won't be rushing back.

Really good to see this pub open again! It's a lovely country pub with real ale, a friendly staff and a good garden. After years in the doldrums it's now back to being a really nice place to visit. The food looked good although I was there for the beer: a well-kept pint of Tribute.
