Popped in as was passing though and was happy with what I experiance. Staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. The potions are a fair size for the price and I was not disappointed with anything. Felt like a trip to Thailand with the music and decorations. Recommend anyone passing to pop in.

We booked a table however on arrival it was closed. We weren't notified of this so had to find a random restaurant nearby last minute. Very disappointing.

Got a takeaway for the family. Very disappointed. Curries bland - pad Thai didn’t taste or look like pad thai. Overall quite tasteless for a meal that was quite expensive.

Really lovely food. We had sweetcorn fritters and fishcakes both lovely. My pad Thai was gorgeous and the prawn curry was so tasty. . The service was excellent and so friendly. A very reasonable price for excellent Thai food. Just love this place. Highly recommended.

What a super little family run restaurant! Went with my daughter and her husband and thoroughly enjoyed it. Price for four meals, bottle of wine and drinks came to £109, brilliant. Try the ginger rice, lovely.

This is our third time at The Thai and sadly, probably our last.We ordered starters followed by chicken pad Thai, massaman curry and egg fried rice all to share. The pad Thai tasted completely different to when we'd had it twice previously. The sauce was strange, overall quite bland, and despite ordering chicken it came with chicken and tofu. The chicken was very dry and over cooked but edible. The beef in the massaman curry was incredibly chewy. And again the overall taste of the massaman curry was quite bland and not like before which was delicious.I appreciate not every meal is going to be 100% all of the time but we let the waiter know that the chicken and beef were tough. He kindly reported it to the owner and the chef and the owner shouted "they left 3 pieces of beef".To clarify. There were 6 pieces of beef in the curry. I ate one, left 3 totally uneaten on my plate,my husband left 2 (which he'd tried to eat but couldn't) and ate one. So all in all there were 7 pieces of wafer thin meat, 5 of which were left. The owner didn't apologise, but left the young lad to apologise. As a business owner, whether you agree with feedback or not, you should at least acknowledge it yourself. Ultimately the buck stops with you (again whether you agree with the feedback or not).Sadly my birthday meal was soured because of this experience. Before the owners curt reply we would have tried again, but we won't now.

Partner and I went for a meal here. Just had the one course each. Her curry was OK, nice tasting - I tried a bit. The meals and drinks were reasonably priced.Unfortunately mine, the pad Thai, was the worst one of these I've ever had. I love these and try them often. Textureless and almost tasteless apart from some sour really unpleasant taste which may have been the beef. When I mentioned it the owner said "Well you should have had something else".Maybe she was joking but - no arguments there! Maybe we should have gone somewhere else!I don't like leaving bad reviews but I feel its impossible not to - people should be aware of not only the food but the staffs comment.

Disappointing. My daughter brought round a take-out last night. Dishes generally good but prawn crackers were chewy, prawn pad Thai had very few prawns and given the price we will not be rushing back there again.

Amazing dinner at the Thai, as always. Went with 2 friends who had never been before and they loved it. I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 15 years and it never disappoints. Nicky is an amazing cook.

Great staff and a great cook will definitely be returning. The food was so tasty and fresh my pictures don't do it justice

If I could give this less than 1 star I would. We tried the Thai when it reopened and we’re not impressed but thought we would give it another go to support local businesses. Our starter spring rolls came out half cooked and half frozen. The chicken satay was barely warm and the prawn crackers were flavourless with a horrible dipping sauce. We waited 30-45 minutes for our mains which came out more on the cold side. The chicken in the yellow curry was like rubber, we ordered a pork red Thai curry which was made with chicken and the sweet and sour chicken was inedible. The Pad Thai was greasy and over salty. £145 for a family of 4 with inedible food is an absolute joke. The waiting staff were the best part of the meal but the kitchen looked utter carnage when passing by to the toilet. Since eating here my stomach is cramping up, most likely due to all of the lukewarm food we were served. Never again!!!!

They need to decide if their a restaurant or takeaway. Very slow service, using the the excuse that all the food is cooked fresh when carrier bags of takeaway are passing you whilst your sat at the table isn’t except able. I decided to have a massaman curry first time I have experienced a massaman curry with no potato’s but lots of pineapple?? and so many peanuts it was if someone had just grabbed a handful and just flung them on the top. This may well be the way they serve there curry but I have had massaman curry all over the world never not had potatoes in it . Strange and not some where I would return to or recommend.

Nice little family-run restaurant with authentic Thai food. We could smell the lovely food from outside and had to enter! They have a good selection and are very accommodating. Would recommend!
