I went with a group of friends after the crcket on a Wednesday night in September. We had a wonderful time. The food is all freshly cooked and tastes great. Brilliant friendly service from the owners. Also a very good value meal and Thai wine which matches the food. What I liked especially was the freshness of the tastes: it was so much more interesting than Thai Square (even though that is a pretty good chain). In summary, I would totally recommend this excellent well run restauarnt and plan to visit after each Somerset game next season.

Such a nice place with a truly warm and welcoming staff. Super good food prepared by a woman who is obviously concerned with the quality of the food and the enjoyment of her guests. This isn’t in our neck of the woods, but we’d visit again.The owner was amazingly helpful and gave us a full briefing of the town centre parking on the phone. Great service across the board!! Recommend highly.

Great Thai food - the right balance of sweet, sour, salty, creamy and umami. It was also great how the dishes could be adjusted regarding content - beef and prawn massaman, when only chicken massaman is on the menu, and tom ka gai when only tom yum soups are on the menu. They also go the spiciness just right for my family’s varied requests that ranges form medium to Thai hot. The shrimp skewers was an item I never had before and was really good. I particularly like how well it was fried, the quality of the shrimp, and the choice of a savory chili sauce in addition to the typical Thai restaurant sweet chilli sauce, which was also really good.

Absolutely the best Thai food I have ever had. Whilst the restaurant is basic with functional furniture it's the food that sets it apart. The food is what sets the Lotus Flower's bar high for others to follow.
