The Bell End is everything you could hope for in a country pub: warm ambience, excellent dinks (including a local stout) and a cheerful staff. The food portions are enormous and tasty. Well worth traveling the lanes for.

A brilliant welcome and a very fine Sunday lunch served with delight. The vegetables were excellent as was the pork and wonderful roast potatoes. Lovely fun too, we were told we couldn’t see the pudding menu until we had finished our greens.

Had a delicious meal accompanied by homemade Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese. Will be back again, well worth the trip out there. Warm welcome and a lovely log burner ?

Had a really excellent Sunday roast lunch today. Lovely spicey soup followed by roast pork, and oodles of tasteful veg. Good draught beer. You have a choice of "normal" size or small. The normal was ample so regrettably had no room for dessert. A really lovely village pub as it should be. We will call again, and you should too.

20 members of the Bowls team sat down to a superb Christmas meal this evening. Food excellent. Pub looked amazing and inviting, such a lovely atmosphere. Well done and thank you to Cherie and team.

Best roast ever! The potatoes were to die for... Good portions, nice atmosfere, lovely landlady... relaxed pub environment even being so busy and I know why: the food is great. I will certainly be returning.

Everything you could ask for from a village pub! Friendly, clean, good selection of food and drink, live music etc etc etc. It’s great to see a landlady with so much enthusiasm… it’s paying off!

No idea why it seems so hard to find an affordable roast dinner, although this one seemed ok to begin with. So our children wanted a slice of chicken and beef and automatically this put the price up from the original £10.95 per child’s roast to £15.95! For one extra slice of meat, seems absolutely extortionate! The roast itself was nice - even though they had run out of gravy so couldn’t have the extra we required. We then had a sticky toffee pudding which not only was super reasonably priced it was really nice too. When the bill came, it had said 5 pints even though we only had 4, so I questioned it and they lady said it was a mistake and would happily take it off. Then she looked over onto the table where there was 3 glasses and said “oh you must of had 5, you have 3 glasses on the table!” How rude! If we had 5, we would’ve paid for 5. This place is nice for a roast but the staff seemed rude and it’s not justified spending £15.95 per child’s roast for a slice of beef and chicken! That is unbelievable!! Be prepared to be paying silly money for an extra slice of meat for children’s portions! Had the staff not been so rude. We would return! Shame.
Just shared a weekend with the lovely people who frequent there and found the landlady and her staff unbelievably welcoming please keep up the good work can’t wait to come and share an ale or two with you all again many thanks Angie and

Visited first time since new owner took over n started food service few weeks ago . Very pleased , my family of 4 adults enjoyed the well prepared menu with excellent desserts. Owner has great service attitude , wine was of good quality n place is cozy. Value for money too !! Thank you Cherie !!
